Patrolling the plains, Marshal Sam Buckhart discovers a wagon containing a murdered man and his eight-year-old daughter. The girl is able to give Buckhart a description of the killer.
2. Full Circle. Oct. 8, 1959. GS: Lyle Bettger, Gail Kobe, Wayne
Rogers. For years Sam Buckhart has been looking for a bank robber.
He is stunned to discover that the thief is Sheriff Max Chafee,
who Sam believed to be honest and straightforward.
3. A Matter of Life or Death. Oct. 15,1959. GS: Gustavo Rojo, Jean Allison. Marshal Sam Buckhart, who has been searching for outlaw Charlie Slade for many years, finally locates his hideout. Before Buckhart can take the outlaw prisoner, Slade's henchmen overpower him.
4. The Hostiles. Oct. 22,1959. GS: Ann Benton, Peter Whitney, Suzanne Lloyd, Dabbs Greer, Dorothy Adams. A man who lives in the mountains kills a young girl. Sam Buckhart is assigned to find the murderer.
5. Passenger to Mescalero. Oct. 29, 1959. GS: Brian Hutton, Richard Gaines, Hope Summers, Eddie Quillan, Rayford Barnes, Bud Osborne, John Pickard, Alice Backes. Deputy Marshal Sam Buckhart is assigned to bring a dangerous outlaw to the prison at Mescalero. During the journey a band of outlaws ambush the stagecoach.
6. Blood Trails. Nov. 5, 1959. GS: Chris Alcaide, Michael Hinn, Fiona Hale, Mike Vandever. Deputy Marshal Sam Buckhart receives a difficult assignment. He is to go into Apache territory and bring back a member of his own tribe.
7. Desperate Decision. Nov. 12, 1959. GS: Robert J. Wilke, Donald Buka, John Marley, Bill Catching, Tom McDonough, Manuel Lopez. Sam Buckhart tracks down a fugitive and starts to return home with him. The marshal and his prisoner run into Mexican bandits.
8. Appointment in Santa Fe. Nov. 19,1959. GS: John Anderson, Michael Raffetto, Joseph Ruskin. Deputy Warden Clyde Santee demands custody of a prisoner held by Marshal Morrison. Remembering Santee's wartime record of brutality, Morrison refuses to hand over his prisoner.
9. The Gibbet. Nov. 26,1959. GS: Robert F. Simon, Mort Mills, Patrick Riley, Walter Burke, William Erwin, Dee Pollack, George Mitchell. An outlaw gang rides into a small Western town, planning to take it over. The townspeople form a vigilante group to oppose the gang, and Marshal Sam Buckhart is sent to prevent open warfare. ,/ 88.10 The Dude. Dec. 3,1959. 11. The Innocents. Dec. 10, 1959. GS: Robert Vaughn, Elena Verdugo, Clancy Cooper, Carter De Haven, Jr., Olive Carey, John Harrison, John Newton. Sam Buckhart's friend Ross Drake has been arrested for murder. To evade a lynch mob, Buckhart transfers him to another town for a fair trail.
12. Clear Title. Dec. 17,1959. GS: John Dehner, Lee Van Cleef, Jack Kruschen, Jean Allison, Garry Walberg, Steve Gravers, Brian Russell. Deputy Marshal Sam Buckhart is sent to Shannonville to investigate a shooting. The townspeople, afraid of town boss Walter Shannon, are unwilling to help Buckhart.
13. Toll Road. Dec. 24, 1959. GS: Bert Freed, Maggie Pierce, Phil Chambers, Jeanne Wood, Richard Rust, Robert Morris, Paul Fix. For years Dan Dawson and his wife have worked to build a toll road. just as the road is completed, a pair of outlaws brutally murder the Dawsons.
14. Calculated Risk. Dec. 31,1959. GS: Don Grady, Chris Alcaide, Lane Bradford, Wayne Rogers. Deputy Marshal Sam Buckhart shoots a bank robber in the presence of the outlaw's son. Buckhart tries to explain the incident to the boy, but is spurned by the bitter youth.
15. Fear. Jan. 7, 1960. GS: Stephen Talbot, John Larch, Peggy Webber. While on a camping trip with Sam Buckhart, a young girl falls into an abandoned well. Unable to get her out by himself, Buckhart goes to a nearby farmhouse for help but is mistaken for a renegade Indian and shot.
16. Endurance. Jan. 14, 1960. GS: John Anderson, Robert Osterloh, J. Pat O'Malley. Young Tess sees two outlaws murder a priest and then escape. Deputy Marshal Sam Buckhart goes after the killers.
17. The Comet. Jan. 21,1960. GS: Jacques Aubuchon, Ned Glass, Wayne Tucker, Charity Grace, Enid Janes, Dan Sheridan, George Revink. A man claiming to be a minister tells the residents of a small town that the world is coming to an end. Another man appears at the same time, selling pills which he says will ward off the disaster.
18. The Rawhiders. Jan. 28, 1960. GS: John Milford, Joe De Santis, Peter Whitney, Alex Gerry. Lije Wesley, one of a group of Western Gypsies hated by local landowners, is accused of murdering a rancher. Deputy Marshal Sam Buckhart's investigation turns up evidence indicating that Wesley is innocent.
19. The Imposter. Feb. 4, 1960. GS: Harry Landers, Lawrence Dobkin, John Hoyt, Francis J. McDonald, Mickey Finn, Tyler McVey, Lane Bradford, Ted Lehman. Sam Buckhart has taken the notorious Kid Remick into custody in Santa Fe to await the arrival of a Colorado marshal. When the lawman rides into town, an old-timer points out that his horse doesn't appear to have traveled very far.
20. Common Ground. Feb. 11, 1960. GS: Michael Pate, Richard Harland, Jess Kirkpatrick. Wounded during a holdup attempt, killer Frank Deegan hides out in Martha's rooming house. When Sam Buckhart stops by the house, Martha and Tess, terrorized by Deegan, try to get rid of him.
21. The Matriarch.. Feb. 18, 1960. GS: Lynn Bari, Denver Pyle, Alan Reed, Michael Hinn, Patrick Troughton. Constance Valeri claims that she shot a ranch hand, but Sam Buckhart is suspicious of her confession.
22. A Question of Courage. Feb. 25, 1960. GS: Claude Akins, Patricia Donahue, Ken Mayer, Ken Drake. Sam Buckhart is stunned when a sheriff allows two outlaws to beat him. Buckhart finds that the new lawman is in the badmen's power.
23. Dangerous Barriers. March 10, 1960. GS: Arch Johnson, Steve Marlo, Frank Puglia, John Zaccaro, Ray Kellogg, Percy Helton, Wayne Rogers, Jovan Montell. Apache marshal Sam Buckhart offers to help a boy in his feud with a rancher who has killed his father and wants his land. The offer is rejected because the boy hates Apaches.
24. The Show-Off. March 17,1960. GS: Scott Marlowe, Leo Gordon, Jess Kirkpatrick. Young Clancy Jones feels that he is a nobody, so he picks a Billy the Kid to imitate.
25. Rabbit's Fang. March 24,1960. GS: Don Dubbins, Constance Ford, Christopher Dark, Peter Brocco. Slowwitted but fast on the draw, Mite Rankin worships Miss Jessie from afar. When Jessie's ex-husband shows up demanding quick cash, Mite decides to do something about it.
26. Stella. March 31,1960. GS: Gloria Talbot, Richard Devon, Charlie Briggs, Wesley Lau, William Fawcett. Stella Meeker, one of a gang of bank robbers, makes friend with Sam Buckhart. She doesn't know he is a lawman.
27. Amnesty. April 7,1960. GS: Chris Alcaide, Robert Warwick, Biff Elliott, Paul Sorensen, Natalie Norwick, Fred Graham. Amnesty is declared by the territorial governor, and a vicious killer escapes a murder rap Then Sam Buctchart hires him as a lawman.
28. Jeb's Daughter. April 14,1960. GS: John Anderson, Suzanne Lloyd, Tom Reese, John Clarke. Jeb Wicken's daughter has been a burden to him long enough. So he decides to sell her into slavery. It is all legal, but legal or not, Buckhart won't uphold the sale.
29. Cavern of the Wind. April 21,1960. GS: Paul Langton, Richard Anderson, Enid James, George Keymas, J. Pat O'Malley, Charles Stevens. A group of gold-hungry prospectors capture Sam Buckhart and force him to head their expedition. At the destination are Apaches waiting for the man who killed one of their braves.
30. Trojan Horse. May 5,1960. GS: Gene Nelson, James Westerfield, Murvyn Vye, Joe Perry, Perry Cook, Diana Darrin. Sam Buckhart borrows a plan from the Greeks to penetrate the hideout of the notorious Seed gang. Having no wooden horse at hand, he rents a traveling show wagon.
