Premise: The Western series was set in the West during the 1860s and concerned the exploits of frontier scout Cheyenne Bodie.
Notes: During the 1955-56 season Cheyenne alternated with Casablanca and King's Row as part of Warner Brothers Presents. Cheyenne returned for the 1956-57 season and alternated with Conflict. Cheyenne alternated with Sugarfoot during the 1957-58 season. The series was off the air during the 1958-59 season bec use of a contract dispute with Clint Walker and Sugarfoot and Bronco rotated as part of The Cheyenne Show. Cheyenne returned in the 1959-60 season as a solo series, but in 1960-61 it again alternated with Sugarfoot and Bronco as part of The Cheyenne Show. During the 1961-62 season Cheyenne alternated with Bronco, then returned for a half season as a solo in fall of 1962.

1 Mountain Fortress. Sept. 20, 1955. GS: Anne Robinson, L. Q. Jones, Robert J. Wilke, James Garner, Jeff Silver. Scout Cheyenne and mapmaker Smitty help rescue a young woman from a stagecoach attacked by Indians, only to be trapped in a mountain hideaway manned by a band of desperadoes.
2 Julesburg. Oct. 11,1955. GS: Adele August, Ray Teal, David Albert. A herd of cattle is stolen from a wagon train lost en route to the cavalry post. Cheyenne and Smitty set out for the nearest town and the desperadoes they believe did the rustling.
3 The Argonauts. Nov. 1, 1955. GS: Rod Taylor, Steve Conte, Edward Andrews. Two prospectors are aided in their search for a rich gold mine by Cheyenne. A band of renegade Indians try to rob the small group of its ore and provisions. They tell Cheyenne he is needed at the Indian camp to aid a white woman.
4 Border Showdown. Nov. 22,1955. GS: Myron Healey, Lisa Montell, Julian Rivero, Adele Mara. Cheyenne and his sidekick Smitty discover that the bandits responsible for the killing of a friend of theirs now hold an entire village under their thumb. The two men enlist the aid of the padre to inspire the townspeople to rebel against the gang.
5 The Outlander. Dec. 13,1955. GS: Leo Gordon, Doris Dowling, Onslow Stevens. Cheyenne learns that the wife of the owner of the largest ranch in the territory is an ex-prostitute. Because Cheyenne has information on the operations of a blackmailing gang, he is beaten severely by three thugs. When Cheyenne returns to find one of the desperadoes, he is tried on a trumped-up charge.

man is unjustly accused of murder and dragged off by a lynch mob.
He is saved from hanging, but his rescuer is

7 The Black Hawk War (A.K.A. "Decision"). Jan. 24, 1956. GS: Nancy Hale, Richard Denning, Ray Teal, James Garner. Cheyenne faces the prospect of a court-martial when he warns the commander of Fort Wilderness that Indian tribes have combined under one leader to go on the warpath. Cheyenne feels he must disobey some unwise orders then issued by the commander.
8 The Storm Riders. Feb. 7,1956. GS: Regis Toomey, Anne Whitfield, Barton MacLane, Beverly Michaels. When Cheyenne is ruthlessly run down by the hired hand of a wealthy cattleman, his wounds are treated by a friendly rancher. Cheyenne learns this rancher, too, is a victim of the cattleman's greedy schemes.
9 Rendezvous at Red Rock. Feb. 21,1956. GS: Gerald Mohr, Douglas Fowley, Steve Darrell, Leo G. Carroll. Three men hold Cheyenne captive for a shooting he didn't do. There is a double twist when the notorious gunslinger who was responsible for the crime unexpectedly frees him.
10 West of the River. March 20,1956. GS: Stepanie Griffin, Lois Collier, Trevor Bardette. With no regular troops available, Cheyenne is forced to lead a raiding party of renegade guardhouse cavalrymen to a Kiowa Indian village where two girls are held captive.
11 Quicksand. April 3,1956. GS: Dennis Hopper, Norman Frederic, Peggy Webber, John Alderson. Marauding Comanches attack a party on its way through dangerous Indian territory. The leader of the party, Indian Scout Cheyenne Bodie, challenges the Comanche chief to battle for his life in a bed of quicksand.
12 Fury at Rio Hondo. April 17,1956. GS: Ralph Moody, Peggy Castle, Karen Kadler, Tom Hernandez, Carl Esmond. Cheyenne makes the long trek to Mexico with a herd of cattle only to learn when he arrives that his client has disappeared. His problems are multiplied by a pretty girl who is trying to work her way back to the United States, and by the Frenchman Maximilian whose troops are attempting to take over all of Mexico.
13 Star in the Dust. May 1, 1956. GS: Don Megowan, Adele Mara. Cheyenne takes on his new duties as deputy sheriff. He soon learns the sheriff has no qualms about taking care of outlaws, but a pretty young woman provides unexpected trouble.
14 Johnny Bravo. May 15, 1956. GS: Carlos Rivas, Harry Shannon, Penny Edwards, Mort Mills. When Cheyenne signs up as the new foreman at Matt Crowley's ranch, he finds that he has more to contend with than cow-punching. Crowley, bitter and sharp-tempered, secretly wants Cheyenne to marry his beautiful daughter, the strong-willed Molly. Cheyenne also discovers that his pal Johnny Bravo is in love with Molly, but that the bigoted Crowley despises Johnny's ancestry and keeps the couple apart.
15 The Last Train West. May 29, 1956. GS: Barbara Lawrence, James Garner, Barbara Filer. When he is framed for a murder he didn't commit, Cheyenne avoids both the law and the Comanches by boarding a train bound for California. In order to avoid suspicion when all single men are required to present identification, Cheyenne claims the pretty passenger standing next to him is his wife.
16 Decision. June 5, 1956. GS: Richard Denning, James Garner, Nancy Hale, Clegg Hoyt. While guiding a Cavalry troop through Indian territory, Cheyenne finds it necessary to lead a rebellion in order to avert a disaster. The Cavalry captain doesn't realize that Indians do not always fight by the Army's rule book.
17 The Dark Rider. Sept. 11, 1956. GS: Diane Brewster, Myron Healey, Kurt Heinz, Gilchrest Stuart. Cheyenne is talked out of three hundred dollars by a woman who takes the money and then leaves town. Cheyenne's search for her leads him to a herd of cattle being taken to market.
18 The Long Winter. Sept. 25,1956. GS: Tom Pittman, Robert J. Wilke, Fay Spain, Hayden Rorke. Cheyenne is left to guard a winter camp when bad weather catches up with the cattle train en route to Canada. When Cheyenne has a run-in with one of the cattle-drivers, the man pulls out and joins a band of rustlers.
19 Death Deals This Hand. Oct. 9,1956. GS: Pat Tiernan, Arthur Hunnicut, Leo Gordon. Cheyenne falls for a schoolteacher aboard a riverboat bound for St. Louis. But she turns out to be the pawn of gamblers who try to take Hoot Hollister's money away from him.
20 The Bounty Killer. Oct. 23,1956. GS: Andrew Duggan, James Gavin, Howard Petrie, Gail Kobe. Cheyenne unwittingly joins forces with a trigger-happy marshal who has a habit of not bringing prisoners back alive.
21 The Law Man. Nov. 6,1956. GS: Andrea King, Grant Withers, Paul Engle, Charles Horvath, Stafford Repp. Local ranchers are sure that they have captured all the members of a gang of rustlers. But Cheyenne is equally sure that there are a few still on the loose.
22 The Mustang Trail. Nov. 20, 1956. GS: Diane Brewster, Ross Elliott, Robert J. Wilke, Lane Bradford, Paul Fierro, Nestor Paiva. Friends of Cheyenne's learn that several hundred horses are running wild in Mexico. They don't have anyone's brand on them, so are free for the taking to anyone willing to risk tangling with the Indian renegade who controls that part of the Mexican range. Cheyenne's friends ask him to go with them to round up and claim the herd.
23 Lone Gun. Dec. 4,1956. GS: Nancy Hale, Paul Brinegar, Trevor Bardette, Hal Baylor, Bob Steele. The owner of a herd of cattle asks Cheyenne for help in getting his cattle to Dodge City. En route, the owner drowns and Cheyenne determines to get them through by himself, despite the opposition of the crew.
24 The Trap. Dec. 18, 1956. GS: Maggie Hayes, Rhodes Reason, Sally Fraser, Kenneth MacDonald. Corrupt Sheriff Gaffey claps Cheyenne in chains and puts him in a silver mine to work for a gang of outlaws. In an attempt to escape, Cheyenne plays on the sympathy of two women in the gang.
25 The Iron Trail. Jan. 1,1957. GS: Dani Crayne, Dennis Hopper, Sheb Wooley, Sydney Smith, Almira Sessions. On a mail train heading west, Cheyenne and his pretty traveling companion are captured by a band of young bandits intent on robbing the mail.
26 Land Beyond the Law. Jan. 15, 1957. GS: Andrew Duggan, Jennifer Howard, James Griffith, Dan Blocker. In his determination for a showdown with a wanted bandit, Cheyenne rides into the stronghold of a band of dangerous outlaws.
27 Test of Courage. Jan. 29, 1957. GS: Mary Castle, George Neise, John Archer, Mickey Simpson, Britt Lomond. Cheyenne is caught in the cross fire between the United States Cavalry and a band of horse thieves.
28 War Party. Feb.12,1957. GS: Angie Dickinson. Cheyenne gets entangled in a dispute with a gold prospector and a band of renegades, and then faces capture by a tribe of vengeful Sioux.
29 Deadline. Feb. 26,1957. GS: John Qualen, Mark Roberts, Bruce Cowling, Ann Robinson, Charlita, Lane Chandler. A crook wants control of a small-town newspaper and Cheyenne is drawn into the controversy. He learns that the publisher's wife is a girl he once loved.
30 Big Ghost Basin. March 12, 1957. GS: Robert Hover, Merry Anders, Buddy Baer. Ranchers and their families are terrorized by a mysterious killer. Cheyenne's job of tracking down the murderer is somewhat complicated when a young man becomes jealous of Cheyenne's attentions to his fiancee.
31 Born Bad. March 26,1957. GS: Wright King, Jil Jarmyn, Robert F. Simon, Nestor Paiva. Working as a small town sheriff, Cheyenne is taken with one of the local beauties. Her father is the former sheriff and her brother is a wanted killer.
32 The Brand. April 9,1957. GS: Edward Byrnes, Sue George, Darryl Duran, Benny Baker. In a search for his partner and his lost herd of horses, Cheyenne has an unexpected encounter with a young gunman who is sought by a posse. The fleeing desperado has hidden his brother and sister in an isolated mountain cabin, and fears discovery by the posse.
33 Decision at Gunsight. April 23,1957. GS: John Carradine, Patrick McVey, Marie Windsor. Cheyenne faces a showdown with the leader of a protection racket that has just moved into town. Matters are complicated when Cheyenne makes the acquaintance of a pretty young woman who is part of the band.

35 Hard Bargain. May 21,1957. GS: Richard Crenna, Regis Toomey, Dawn Richard. While bringing back a bank robber, Cheyenne Bodie gets caught in a bear trap and is at the mercy of his prisoner.
36 The Broken Pledge. June 4,1957. GS: John Dehner, jean Byron, Norman Frederic, Paul Birch. A woman reporter unwittingly sends Chief Sitting Bull's tribe on the warpath. In her eagerness to get a story, she leads a band of renegade white men to an Indian accused of killing one of them. The woman believes the white men intend only to capture the Indian and hold him for trial. But the renegades are intent on meting out their own brand of justice.
37 Incident at Indian Springs. Sept. 24, 1957. GS: Dan Barton, Carlyle Mitchell, Bonnie Bolding, John Cliff, Chris Olsen. A schoolmaster who killed a gang leader wants the reward. But he may get more than he bargained for. The gang attacks the schoolhouse, threatening the teacher and pupils.
38 The Conspirators. Oct. 8, 1957. GS: Joan Weldon, Guinn Williams, Tom Conway. Cheyenne is assigned as an Army undercover agent to help stamp out a ring of Confederate seditionists. He assumes the identity of an actor, Jim Merritt, who, in reality, is a friend of one of the traitors.
39 The Mutton Puncher. Oct. 22, 1957. GS: Robert J. Wilke, Marie Windsor, Lane Bradford, Gil Rankin, Billy Gray, Lauren Chapin. Cheyenne quits his job as Ben Creed's foreman but changes his mind after Creed saves him from an ambush. Then Creed gambles with a pretty ranch owner and offers his foreman as the stake.
40 Border Affair (A.K.A. "Traveling Princess"). Nov. 5,1957. GS: Erin O'Brien, Michael Pate, Sebastian Cabot, joy Page, Linda Watkins. Cheyenne intervenes when a European princess is about to be married to an aged French general.
41 Devil's Canyon. Nov. 19, 1957. GS: Robert Foulk, Ainslie Pryor, Joanna Barnes, Jack LaRue, Mark Cavell, Myron Healey, Tom McKee, Gene Roth. Cheyenne soon learns that the fortune hunters he is guiding in their search for some diamonds want them at any price. Then he discovers that the diamonds are religious relics.
42 Town of Fear. Dec. 3,1957. GS: Walter Coy, Alan Wells, Steve Darrell, Kathleen Crowley, John Doucette. Cheyenne was a local hero when he brought in a wanted outlaw. But the townsfolk have turned against him. The townsfolk do not agree with Cheyenne when he maintains that his friend Sheriff Townley is innocent of murder.
43 Hired Gun. Dec. 17,1957. GS: Don Megowan, Alan Hale, Jr., Whitney Blake, Douglas Spencer, Russell Thorson, Michael Dante. Cheyenne gets involved in a murder plot when he signs on at the Bridgeman Ranch. Bridgeman thinks Cheyenne is a gunman his wife has hired to kill him.
44 Top Hand. Dec. 31,1957. GS: Peter Brown, Jeanne Cooper, Walter Barnes, Paul Savage, Ed Prentiss. In an attempt to avoid entanglement in the feuds of three ranchers, Cheyenne turns down job offers from each of them. But when he heads out of the territory. Cheyenne is ambushed by one of the outfits and left without horse, water or food in the middle of desert country.
45 The Last Comancbero. Jan. 14,1958. GS: Harold J. Stone, Edward Byrnes, Virginia Aldridge, Jonathan Hole. A renegade has been caught selling guns and alcohol to the Indians. Cheyenne fights to save him from a lynch mob.
46 The Gamble. Jan. 28,1958. GS: Evelyn Ankers, James Seay, Theodora Davitt, Charles Fredericks, Raymond Hatton. The lady owner of a saloon asks Cheyenne's help when she learns that her daughter is returning home from Boston. She asks Cheyenne to take over the management of the saloon to keep the girl from learning that her mother is a saloon keeper.
47 Renegades. Feb. 11, 1958. GS: Bartlett Robinson, Peter Brown, Olive Sturgess, Steven Durrell. Col. Ralph Donovan claims that the only good Indian is a dead one. Cheyenne tries to keep the colonel's attitude from ruining peace negotiations with a hostile tribe.
48 The Empty Gun. Feb. 25,1958. GS: Audrey Totter, John Russell, Sean Garrison. Matt Reardon is forced to kill his partner in a gun duel. When he offers the dead man's widow her share of the mine he finds that she nurses a deep and bitter hatred and that the dead man's son has sworn to kill him. Cheyenne agrees to help.
49 White Warrior. March 11, 1958. GS: Michael Landon, Peter Whitney, Randy Stuart, Richard Garland, Morris Ankrum. Cheyenne is employed to lead a wagon train through wild frontier territory. En route then encounter some Apache braves who have captured a teenage boy. Cheyenne buys the boy from his captors, bringing upon himself and the boy the wrath of the wagon train boss.
50 Ghost of Cimarron. March 25, 1958. GS: Patrick McVey, Peter Brown, Vaughn Taylor, Russ Conway, Wright King, Isabelle Dawn. During an ambush, Doc Johnson and his band of gunmen capture Cheyenne Bodie. They force him to accompany them to a hideout and order him to remove a bullet from the leg of their leader.
51 Wagon Tongue North. April 8,1958. GS: Ann McCrae, Howard Petrie, Frank de Kova. Cheyenne assumes an alias to take a job as a trail boss for the widow of an ex-convict he was forced to kill. The rebellious cowhands try to deliver the herd of cattle to a crooked land baron.
52 The Long Search. April 22,1958. GS: Claude Akins, Norman Frederic, Randy Stuart, Kim Chaney, Gail Kobe, Tommy Farrell. A Sioux brave is accused of kidnaping a white boy and is thrown in jail. Cheyenne alone proclaims the innocence of the Indian and finds himself facing the threats of an angry mob.
53 Standoff. May 6,1958. GS: Rodolfo Acosta, Richard Garland, Joy Page, H.M. Wynant, Joe Dominguez. Cheyenne helps a wounded man to a Mexican village. Then he learns he has aided a killer, who plans to destroy the entire town if the man who shot two of his henchmen won't give himself up.
54 Dead to Rights. May 20, 1958. GS: John Russell, Michael Connors, Joanna Barnes, Don Megowan, Donald "Red" Barry. Cheyenne's partner in a mining venture is murdered, and a suave attorney, Saylor Hornbrook, is bent on keeping the killer's identity a secret.
55 Noose at Noon. June 3, 1958. GS: Charles Quinlivan, Theona Bryant, Robert Bray. Cheyenne tries to save friend Jim O'Neil from being hanged. O'Neil was convicted of a murder he didn't commit, but he is afraid to tell what he knows because of a threat to his wife.
56 The Angry Sky. June 17,1958. GS: Adele Mara, Joan Evans, Andrew Duggan. On the trail of an escaped murderer, Cheyenne is shot and left for dead on the trail. He is found by a woman who takes Cheyenne to her sister's cabin. When the sister's husband returns from a trip to town he seems taken aback at seeing Cheyenne.
57 Blind Spot. Sept. 21, 1959. GS: Robert Crawford, Jean Byron, Barry Kelley, Adam West, Jon Litel, Dan Sheridan. Attempting to reunite a father and his young son Gerald, who took opposing sides during the Civil War, Cheyenne uncovers a scheme to take over cotton-rich land.
58 Reprieve. Oct. 5, 1959. GS: Connie Stevens, Don Megowan, Tim Considine, Edgar Stchli. Cheyenne Bodie is hired to find bank robber Wes McQueen and recover the money that McQueen has stolen. Wes has decided to return the money, but before he can do so, he is killed by outlaws. Cheyenne, continuing his search for the money, decides to assume McQueen's identity.
59 The Rebellion. Oct. 12, 1959. GS: Rodolfo Acosta, Frank De Kova, Joe De Santis, Faith Domergue, John Marley, Paul Dubov, Carlos Romero, Carmen Austin. Cheyenne Bodie is hired to guard some freight that is being shipped by train to a Mexican patriot named Manuel. During the trip, Luis Cardenas overpowers Cheyenne and flees with the cargo, making it appear that Manuel is a traitor.
60 Trial by Conscience. Oct. 26, 1959. GS: Jeff York, Pat Crowley, Richard Garland, Don Beddoe, John Holland. Nick Avalon, boss of a frontier town, knows the location of a murdered mar~s grave. Following a performance of "Hamlet", Cheyenne Bodie decides to employ some of the methods used in the play to gain information and strip Avalon of his power.
61 The Imposter. Nov. 2,1959. GS: Robert McQueeney, Peter Whitney, James Drury. Texas cattleman Sam Magruder is murdered and an impostor takes over his name and his business. Suspicious, Cheyenne gets a job as a cowhand on the ranch.
62 Prisoner of Moon Mesa. Nov. 16,1959. GS: Robert F. Simon, Chuck Wassil, Madlyn Rhue, Bill Cord, Russ Bender, George Kennedy. Replacing Clay Mason as foreman of a large cattle ranch, Cheyenne meets resistance from neighboring ranchers who are bitter about the circumstances surrounding Mason's dismissal.
63 Gold, Glory and Custer - Prelude. Jan. 4, 1960. GS: Julie Adams, Liam Sullivan, Lorne Greene, Barry Atwater, Ed Kernmer, Yvette Dugan, Andra Martin. As an Indian scout with Col. George Custer's regiment, Cheyenne Bodie helps search for gold on a Sioux reservation. Cheyenne fears that news of a gold strike would cause bloodshed.
64 Gold, Glory and Custer -Requiem. Jan. 11, 1960. GS: Julie Adams, Liam Sullivan, Lorne Greene, Barry Atwater, Ed Kernmer, Yvette Dugan, Andra Martin. Colonel Custer's regiment is wiped out in the battle of the Little Bighorn. Risking a charge of desertion, Cheyenne decides to appear at Maj. Marcus Reno's court martial.
65 Riot at Arroyo Soco. Feb. 1, 1960. GS: Wynn Pearce, Whitney Blake, Harry Lauter, Frank Ferguson, Don Hagerty, Willis Bouchey, James Bell. During his duty as Sheriff of Arroyo Soco, Cheyenne arrests a man for murder. When the townspeople form a lynch mob, Cheyenne is forced to shoot their leader, the son of a prominent citizen.
66 Apache Blood. Feb. 8, 1960. GS: Scott Marlowe, Lisa Montel. Mickey Free, who was raised by Indians, comes to town to live among his own people. He finds the townspeople hostile, but Cheyenne stands by him.
67 Outcast of Cripple Creek. Feb. 29,1960. GS: Whit Bissell, Rhodes Reason, Robert J. Wilke, Lisa Gaye, Tol Avery, Hal Baylor, Emory Parnell. Cheyenne is hired as a marshal to help keep rambunctious cowboys in line. Fed up with the cowboys' behavior, Cheyenne quits and is whisked off to jail.
68 Alibi for a Scalped Man. March 7,1960. GS: Mala Powers, R.G. Armstrong, Richard Coogan, Ross Elliott, Tom Gilson, Saundra Edwards, Ottola Nesmith, Harry Hines. Cheyenne travels to Emmetsville to attend his friend's wedding. The wedding plans are suddenly changed when the bridegroom mysteriously disappears, and Cheyenne is jailed on a faked murder charge.
69 Home Is the Brave. March 14,1960. GS: John Howard, John Archer, Paula Raymond, Donna Martell, Brad Johnson. Cheyenne returns the body of a war hero to his hometown. But a prominent citizen, John Thompson, refuses to allow the body to be buried within the city limits.
70 The Long Rope. Oct. 3,1960. GS: Donald May, Merry Anders, Peter Whitney, Alan Baxter, James Hurst, Frank Albertson, Dick Bettis. Riding into the town of High Point, Cheyenne remembers a scene from his boyhood days - the lynching of Jeff Pierce by a band of masked men.
71 Counterfeit Gun. Oct. 10, 1960. GS: Robert Lowery, Lisa Gaye, Vito Scotti, Ray Teal, K.L. Smith, William Mims, Jack Reitzen. Cheyenne is guarding a shipment of gold when a gang of thieves steal the gold and kill a man. But Cheyenne has a clue - he thinks the gang leader's voice is familiar.
72 Road to Three Graves. Oct. 31,1960. GS: Alan Hale, Jr., Joe De Santis, Jason Evers, Jean Byron, James Seay. Three wagonloads of equipment have to be delivered to a mine owned by a man named Tuk. But the road is dangerously close to the property of a competing mine owner.
73 Two Trails to Santa Fe. Oct. 28,1960. GS: Sonja Wilde, Robert Colbert, Richard Webb, Randy Stuart, Walter Reed, Gayla Graves, Darlene Fields, Robert G. Anderson, John Harmon, Robert Carricart. Alleah, an Apache woman, was to be tortured to death for marrying a white woman. Cheyenne rescues her, and the enraged Apaches ride to attack a nearby mining settlement.
74 Savage Breed. Dec. 19, 1960. GS: Ray Damon, Charlie Briggs, Carlyle Mitchell, Walter Coy, Robert Clarke, Patricia Huston. Dodge City's marshal, Al Lestrade, is on vacation, supposedly hunting buffalo. But when someone fires a shot intended to stampede an approaching herd, the cartridge is traced to Lestrade's weapon.

76 Duel at Judas Basin. Jan. 30, 1961. GS: Ty Hardin, Will Hutchins, Jacques Aubuchon, Alan Caillou, Sheldon Allman, Ken Mayer, Ed Prentiss, Terry Frost. Cheyenne is trail boss of a cattle drive going to Fort Benton. After one of his cowhands is murdered, and someone takes a pot shot at him from an alley, Cheyenne realizes that someone doesn't want his herd to reach its destination.
77 The Return of Mr. Grimm. Feb. 13,1961. GS: R.G. Armstrong, Anita Sands, Stephen Roberts, Maurice Manson, Sherwood Price, Orville Sherman, Myron Healey. A wealthy mine-owner named Grimm turns up in town, bent on one purpose - revenge on Cheyenne. Grimm's son was killed while resisting arrest by Sheriff Bodie.
78 The Beholden. Feb. 27,1961. GS: Don Megowan, Patrice Wymore, Hanley Stafford, Sheldon Allman, John Hubbard, Max Baer, Robert Foulk. Deputy Marshal Bodie does a heap of work tracking down and bringing in a bank robber. Then Cheyenne learns that Tom Grant, the town marshal, has released the culprit from jail.
79 The Frightened Town. March 20,1961. GS: Andrew Duggan, Myron Healey, James Griffith, Greg Palmer, Max Baer, Angela Greene, Lane Chandler, Bob Dunlap, William Fawcett, Tim Graham, John Ramondetta. A gang of outlaws take over the town of Kingsburg, but none of the townspeople are willing to help Marshal Delaney drive them out. With no opposition in sight, the badmen decide to have some fun with the town - by burning it down.
80 Lone Patrol. April 10, 1961. GS: Robert McQueeney, Evan McCord, Stacy Keach, Brad Weston, Harry Holcombe, Clyde Howdy. Cheyenne warns Army Captain Duquesne against starting his supply train out across the range. There is a restless Shawnee Indian party waiting in the hills. But Duquesne turns a deaf ear to the advice.
81 Massacre at Gunsight Pass. May 1, 1961. GS: Sherwood Price, X Brands, Jack Elam, L Stanford Jolley, Rory Mallinson, John Alonzo. Traveling by stagecoach, Cheyenne is taking deserter Johnny Eldorado back to face an Army tribunal While still far from any signs of civilization, the stage is brought to a halt by Indians on the warpath.
82 The Greater Glory. May 15,1961. GS: William /argent, Susan Crane, Tod Griffin, Ray Stricklyn, William Phipps. If Roy and Mary Wiley can drive their cattle to Salt Lake City in time to sell at the best prices, they can pay off the mortgage on their ranch. But ranch owner Rafe Donovan would prefer to have them fail since gold and silver deposits have been found on their land.
83 Winchester Quarantine. Sept. 25, 1961. GS: Susan Cummings, Ross Elliott, Steve Brodie, William Fawcett, Stanford Jolley, Rory Mallinson, John Alonzo. Herds in the Texas Panhandle are being depleted by an unknown, but deadly, fever. The ranchers conclude that the disease is being brought in by cattle from the South.
84 Trouble Street. Oct. 2, 1961. GS: Mala Powers, Patrick McVey, James Coburn, Lee Van Cleef, Tom Drake, Anna Capri, Gilman Rankin. While passing through Colton City, Cheyenne stops to grab some grub. A man named Kell provokes him into a fight.
85 Cross Purpose. Oct. 9, 1961. GS: Edmon Ryan, Frank DeKova, Michael Forest, Walter Brooke, Joyce Meadows, Richard Tatro, Mickey Simpson, 1. Stanford Jolley, Frank Gerstle, Dick Rich, Art Stewart. The townspeople of Clairmont have erected a statue to Col. Charles De Vier, believing he died at the hands of Apache torturers. But two prospectors happen to uncover the hero's body and bring it back to town. It seems the De Vier was shot in the head with Army bullets.
86 The Young Fugitives. Oct. 23, 1961. GS: Richard Evans, Trevor Bardette, Dayton Lummis, Anne Whitfield, Don Haggerty, Paul Langton. While former Sheriff Frank Collins wastes away in a wheel chair because of a bullet in his spine, his teenage son Gilby does pretty much as he pleases. The boy's passion is guns, and he has built one of his own.
87 Day's Pay. Oct. 30, 1961. GS: Rudolph Acosta, Ellen McRae/Burstyn, Evan McCord, Jim Boles, Willard Waterman, Trevor Bardette, Tom Gilson, John Durren, John Ramondetta. Cheyenne stops a lynching party in its tracks, and saves Luis Boladas from the hangman's noose. Cheyenne is only returning a favor, as Boladas once saved his life.
88 Retaliation. Nov. 13, 1961. GS: John Anderson, Jason Evers, Randy Stuart, John Rodney, Kelly Thordsen. The townspeople of Lehigh are not unhappy when the bank is robbed. Most of the money belonged to tycoon Thackeray Smith, not the good-neighbor type. Cheyenne receives a share of the town's hostility when he insists on raising a posse to chase the bandits.
89 Storm Center. Nov. 20, 1961. GS: Robert Crawford, Jr., Harry Shannon, Dorothy Green, Don Megowan, Mario Siletti, Jack Hogan. Young Frank Garcia lives at Father Paul's Orphanage, but he believes that his parents are alive. He begs Cheyenne to help locate them, and then he disappears.
90 Legacy of the Lost. Dec. 4, 1961. GS: Richard Hale, Peter Whitney, Peter Breck, William Windom, Jolene Brand. Cheyenne, who was raised by Chief Red Cloud, learns to his surprise that his father, Lionel Abbott, is still alive. He sets out to locate his long-lost parent.
91 The Brahma Bull. Dec. 11, 1961. GS: George D. Wallace, John Cliff, Owen Orr, Kevin Hagen, Suzi Carnell, Clyde Howdy. Cheyenne sets out with an impressive bankroll to buy a Brahma bull - a gift for a sick child. But the Hawker Brothers, three bums, get wind of the plan and intend to head him off at the pass.
92 The Wedding Rings. Jan. 8, 1962. GS: Harold J. Stone, Margarita Cordova, Raoul De Leon, Nestor Paiva, Ana Maria Majalca, Pedro Gonzales Gonzales. With the aid of his private army, a ruthless bandit named Perez has become virtual dictator of a Mexican province. He hopes to extort enough money from the peasants to buy himself a position in the national government.
93 The Idol Jan. 29, 1962. GS: Jeff Morrow, Leo Gordon, Roger Mobley, jean Byron, Robert Williams, Craig Duncan, Don Wilbanks. The three Kirby brothers don't need much of an excuse to kill any man, but gunfighter Ben Shelby -they are determined to get. The trouble with their latest maneuver is that they haven't cornered Ben Shelby at all, but instead have encountered Cheyenne.
94 One Way Ticket. Feb. 19, 1962. GS: Philip Carey, Maureen Leeds, Lillian Bronson, Bob Anderson, Roxanne Arlen, Ronnie Dapo. Outlaw Cole Younger is being transported by train to the Denver jail, and Cheyenne is guarding him. Cheyenne would like to get acquainted with fellow passenger Laura Barrington, but Laura is also closely guarded, by staunch dowager Mrs. Frazier.
95 The

Nicholson. When four men receive notes
threatening their lives, Cheyenne suggests the notes may have
come from the town's latest newcomer. This gets a hearty laugh,
because the new arrival is pretty young Penelope Piper.
96 A Man Called Ragan. April 23,1962. GS: Arch Johnson, Chad Everett, Jack Elam, Larry Ward, Mike Greene, Jeanne Cooper. Dakota Territorial Marshal Frank Ragan rides into Stark City to see his buddy Johnny Wilson. But cattle baron Ben Stark tells Ragan that Wilson has disappeared, and that Ragan had better do the same. Note: Clint Walker does not appear in this episode; this is actually the PILOT for the GREAT series THE DAKOTAS.
97 The Durango Brothers. Sept. 24, 1962. GS: Sally Kellerman, Jack Elam, Mickey Simpson, Ellen Corby, Charles Briggs, Warren Douglas, Chuck Hicks, Alex Sharpe. Cheyenne beats Homer Durango in a test of strength and thereby becomes a candidate for the hand of the Durango boys' oldmaid sister Lottie. He soon learns that other likely suitors have refused the honor and haven't been seen since.
98 Satonka. Oct. 1, 1962. GS: Andrew Duggan, Susan Seaforth, James Best, Bill Zuckert. Satonka is the Indian name for the Evil One, and local citizens are applying it to a mysterious creature living on Desolation Mountain. While passing through the area, Cheyenne finds a dead body with huge footprints leading away from the scene.
99 Sweet Sam. Oct. 8, 1962. GS: Robert McQueeney, Ronnie Haran, Roger Mobley, James Best, Denver Pyle. Soon after Sam Pridemore arrives in Rock Springs, he disarms a killer and becomes the town hero. But Cheyenne remembers Sam as an unscrupulous boy and suspects that his real interest lies in a quarter of a million dollars worth of gold that is stashed in the bank.
100 Man Alone. Oct. 15, 1962. GS: Kathy Bennett, Carl Reindel, Steve Brodie, Sherwood Price, John Milford. Cheyenne helps a wounded cowboy suffering from amnesia. He suspects that the cowpoke, who calls himself Billy, was a member of the gang that robbed the cattlemen's association.
101 The Quick and the Deadly. Oct. 22,1962. GS: Mike Road, Chris Alcaide, Jeanne Cooper. At Jud Ainleys murder trial, lawman Harry Thomas is not only discredited as a witness, he is charged with robbery.
102 Indian Gold. Oct. 29, 1962. GS: Peter Breck, Trevor Bardette, H.M. Wynant. Indian gold lures prospector Charlie Teeney and his followers onto the Sioux reservation when they see White Crow bring two sacks of the mineral into town. Sheriff Kilgore asks Cheyenne to help him keep this breach of the peace treaty from erupting into a full-scale Indian uprising.
103 Dark Decision. Nov. 5, 1962. GS: Diane Brewster, Peter Breck, Robert Brubaker, Barry Kelley. Nathan Alston keeps his money in a safe, but apparently it is not safe enough. He is found dead near the open steel box. A drifter named Tony Chance accuses Cheyenne of quarreling with Alston just before the murder.
104 Pocketful of Stars. Nov. 12, 1962. GS: Peter Brown, Robert Foulk, Frank De Kova, Lisa Lu. Based on information from his friend, surveyor Ross Andrews, Cheyenne assures Red Knife and his Shoshone braves that the railroad right of way will bypass the Indian burial ground.
105 The Vanishing Breed. Nov. 19,1962. GS: Regis Toomey, Roy Roberts, Vaughn Taylor. Cheyenne would like to help preserve the vanishing buffaloes for the Indians against the onslaught of hunters. His chance comes when a vacancy occurs in the State Senate.
106 Vengeance Is Mine. Nov. 26, 1962. GS: Van Williams, Jean Willes, George Gaynes. Appointed as sheriff, Cheyenne finds his most pressing task is stopping a range war before it begins. It seems that his friend Ray Masters is out to get rancher Rod Delaplane, who Masters claims double-crossed him into jail
107 Johnny Brassbuttons. Dec. 3, 1962. GS: Philip Carey, Tony Young, Adam Williams, Angela Dorian, Michael Pate. Warrior- turned-soldi er Johnny Brassbuttons is under suspicion when the Army unit he is with runs into an Apache ambush. Johnny is accused of leading the troops into a trap, but Cheyenne and Major Frank Nolan are determined to establish his innocence.
108 Wanted for the Murder of Cheyenne Bodie. Dec. 1, 1962. GS: Richard Webb, Ruta Lee, Dick Foran, Robert Knapp, Brad Weston. Sheriff Bigelow pick up a suspect for the murder of Cheyenne Bodie. The man they have arrested seems completely confused by the charge, an attitude which isn't hard to explain since he happens to be Cheyenne Bodie.
109 Showdown at Ox Bend. Dec. 17,1962. GS: Joan Caulfield, Andrew Duggan, Ray Teal, James Griffith. In the heart of cattle country, Cheyenne is surprised to find a herd of sheep, under armed guard, making themselves at home on the range.
