My name is Denis Ray Graham and My Home Town is Kansas City, Missouri. Although I was born in Fort Scott, Kansas, I've lived in the Kansas City area since 1947, when I was a year old. I am also the owner and webmaster of CyberNet Denis. Within this web site you'll find my family's genealogy, tributes to John Wayne and Frank Sinatra, remembrance of the 14th USASA Field Station, and a variety of other goodies. As you can see by the graphics on this page, I enjoy Indian art. As for myself, I am not Indian, although I supposedly have somewhere between 1/32nd and 1/16th Cherokee blood running through my veins. Silverhawk's Native American Graphics supplied the graphics found here. I was born May 5, 1946 and am the oldest of my parent's children. I graduated from Park Hill High School in 1964 and less than two months later enlisted in the army for four years. While stationed in Japan, at the 14th USASA FS, near Fukuoka, I met my wife and we were married June 8, 1967 and then I spent my last year of military service at Fort Carson, Colorado.
I've always been a reader, and this link will take you to a list of my favorite Books and Authors. I also have a great interest in history, geography, genealogy, movies, and, at one time, politics. One of my most enjoyable hobbies is that of tropical fish. I have been keeping aquariums for over 30 years now and never get tired of the beauty and joy this simple hobby brings. Over the years I also collected coins, comic books, baseball cards, and stamps, but these have have gone by the wayside long ago. I got into genealogy after my father's mother, Grandma Graham, died in 1976. Through a roundabout way, I got hold of some genealogical information on her ancestors and slowly got into it until now it is almost a full time affair. I am also a very religious man. I believe the Bible and in Jesus Christ, but also hold some unorthodox views from personal study and research. For instance, I don't believe the view of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture, or in a literal six-day Creation.
My pride and joy these days are my grandchildren, above. So far I have two grandsons, both by my daughter, and I think the world of them. My only regret being that they live over 1000 miles from me.
