On the east side of Jerusalem was a market with the palm trees growing.  Numerous unemployed men stood idle in open spaces adjacent to the market along a crowded street. There were fruits, vegetables, and various wares.  A man had set up a small charcoal grill on a table and was selling shish-kabob stuffed into some pita bread.  There was a numerous people visiting his booth.
