Here listed are some of my bookmarks that I found to be either informative or useful. By now almost everyone realizes that if they want to see Exxon's Home Page they can pretty much figure out the URL. Same with Borders Books, McDonald's etc. So I've removed many (but not all) of the .com type links because some lawyers are sensitive about that. The links are presented below are for informational purposes only and in no way should they be construed as advertising or endorsements by me or my landlord, AT&T. I have, in some cases, made comments about the link. Those views and comment are mine alone. If you see a link to your site you may regard it as a complement. But if it stills torques you to see a link on this site to your site, then just let me know and I'll remove without argument. No one at this site is making any money as a result of having it here. If your a real flamer and like making contributions to your lawyer's Armani fall line fund, HAVE AT IT!. I'll just figure you're a jerk and remove it.

The Movement

  • Internationale The "Internationale" is the song of the Paris "Commune" of 1871. On Sep 4, 1870, the republic was proclaimed in Paris, and from Mar 18 to May 28, 1871, workers and radical citizens established the "Commune", propagating radical reforms like legislation by the workers, equal rights for women, a Proletarian People's Militia, controled prices and compulsory attendance of schools.

William S.Burroughs et al

William S. Burroughs: The Books:

And some decent Burroughs web sites:

  • Willians Burroughs Explorer hypertext biography of the author. Includes a program that makes Burroughs-style cut-ups based on Naked Lunch, The Adding Machine and your own text.
  • Netmonkey Magazine's Bill Burroughs Cut-Up Machine In 1959, working with artist Brion Gysin,he experimented with the cut-up technique for the written word. This involved randomly cutting up and piecing back together words on paper.
  • Cities of the Red NightA cute site devoted to the works of William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin.
  • Cosmic Baseball Association

  • Interzone This site is dedicated to the work of William Burroughs, a writer who dealt with things in their true nature, showing us the food on the fork, the "Naked Lunch". Some may find his writing difficult, or evenmorally offensive. If so then please leave this site now. Otherwise you are welcome to share our confusion and wander freely where there is only one rule: Nothing is True, Everything is Permitted.
  • St. Louis Walk of Fame
  • Denmark Denmark resource presents a Burroughs biography, memorials, portraits, a text archive and a collection of articles and essays.
  • Jack Kerouac's San Francisco' Blue Neon Alley. Directory features links to Burroughs texts, interviews and commentary. Peruse a San Francisco Chronicle bibliography of articles.
  • Unofficial source of electronic Burroughs info since 1991 This project isn't comprehensive or very up to date but has served as a collaborative unofficial source of electronic Burroughs info since 1991. Buroughs' work and especially his experiments with tape and literary cutups have had a profound effect on me, directly and indiretcly via the work of Daevid Allen, Brian Eno, David Bowie and others.
  • Burroughs trivia. Ever wonder where the terms STEELY DAN and HEAVY METAL come from.
  • iZine Enjoy a photo gallery of Burroughs, read his biography and an interview, and find excerpts from his works "Naked Lunch" and "Junky."
