Update: Just
in time for Christmas (or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or
even Festivas) - a bunch of new T-shirts, coffee
mugs, (and for the first time ever - posters and
calendars) were added to the Cyberdrome Online
Store. These are new limited-time designs which
will be changed every couple of months or so - so
get yours now before they are all gone. And as
before, we are currently making NO profit on
these items - just so that we can give them to you
at the lowest prices possible. Oh, did we mention
there is finally a BLACK T-SHIRT
available? November
11, 2005 Site
Update: Going
to Cyberdrome.org (or pressing the reload button
once there) will now randomly take you to one
of two front pages. One shows a couple of
mechanical Spiders entering a valley in one of the
simulated worlds from the book, and the other shows
two metallic Raptors on a beach inside another one
of the computer-generated planets. Note: you
can also click on the tag line being displayed on
the left side of the page to bounce back and forth
between the two versions. Also, the Rhea
Brothers are staying busy this fall: Dave is
currently working on some new movies for the site
as well as a new installment to the Cyberdrome
Comics, while Joe continues his efforts to complete
the book (and maintain this site). Finally, if you
haven't done so yet, stop by our online store and
check out the exclusive Cyberdrome T-shirts, coffee
mugs and other stuff. We will be changing items
there after the holidays, so if you see something
you like, better buy it now. Remember, we only make
$1 per item purchased (to keep the prices as low as
possible) and all proceeds go towards keeping
this site up and running. More as it
happens... November
08, 2005 Tribute:
To
simplify our website management, today we
officially closed our other website, Rhea-fx.com.
If you go there now, you will simply be taken back
here to Cyberdrome.org. We probably
should have done this a year ago because most of
the site's content had been moved over here long
before - but since it was our very first web site,
we held onto it longer than we needed to. It also
reminded my brother and I of the exciting days
in the mid eighties when we started our little
computer game company, called Rhea-fx, and of the
fun we had making a commercial game called
Cyberdrome for the Atari computer. Well, it is 20
years later, and even though the Rhea-fx company is
no more, my brother and I continue our partnership
of bringing Cyberdrome to life in multiple formats,
namely as a novel, an illustrated book, and later,
a graphic novel/comics series. One day,
Cyberdrome may become a feature-length movie, and
then someone will come up to us and say, "Hey,
I bet this would make a great game!" and the
cycle will then be complete. Good bye Rhea-fx,
you are gone but never forgotten... October
20, 2005 Media
Update:
Three new movies have been added to the Media Page
- one showing a rotating Tracer, one showing a
Tracer gliding by the camera, and one showing a
flyby of a Mantis approaching two
Tracers. Links
Update:
4 new sites found that link to us - bringing the
total to 76. Also, just discovered that readers
over at SpeculativeVision.com have rated the online
version of our Cyberdrome Novel in their Top Ten
List (out of over 1000 stories) - how cool is
that? October
14, 2005 Site
Update:
A full graphics makeover was performed on the site
this week (along with a few page relocations)
- hope you like the new look. Once again, if we
moved something that you now can't find, look for
it in the new SiteMap. In addition, our Rhea-fx.com
site was also made over. General
News:
Joe continues his work on completing the novel
while Dave continues to make cool new images like
the one seen on the new Main Page. Also, if you
haven't done so yet, be sure to stop by the Online
Store to check out the exclusive Cyberdrome
merchandise. These products not only look cool, but
they help keep this site free. Thanks for your
support! October

Update:
To help newcomers (and returning
visitors) locate new or long-lost items in our
expanding website, a new SiteMap has been added and
linked to from the main page. August
5, 2005 Site
Update:
An intro page was added to the site. Although it
looks like a cool Flash Animation, it is actually
an animated GIF image. If you came in through a
side route, click here
to see it now. To bypass the introduction, simply
click on the animation, or on the small
<skip> box on the right. August
1, 2005 Site
Update:
The front page was changed (we like to update it
once in a while - like every 6 months or so) and
also the 8 directory pages were given a palette
change (gray to blue). We sort of like blue - can't
you tell? General
News:
Once again, we offer our apologies for the length
of time between updates, but all of our efforts
this summer have been focused on completing the
book, which is basically what this web site so all
about. However, we are planning new additions to
the Store very soon, and we also hope to give you
some new sneak peeks of some of the cool machines,
robots, and virtual props we are creating for the
illustrated version of our book. We hope will will
continue to stay tuned... June

News:
Apologies for the length of time between updates -
trust me when I say that both my brother Dave
and I (Joe) have been very busy with all
things Cyberdrome during the past 3 months. The
Cyberdrome Novel is finally nearing completion and
there have been many changes to the overall look of
some of the things you've come to know inside
Cyberdrome. As an
example---and to reward you all for waiting so
long---here are 2 sneak peek images of the next
generation of Cyberdrome Tracers created by Dave.
Note that you can now see inside the Tracer's
cockpit (either through the windows or when the new
movable canopy is slid back!), to the reveal both
the pilot (our hero Alek Grey) and the detailed
wrap-around dashboard. This vehicle is now fully 3D
(inside and out) and is a quantum leap over
the previous versions. Now you want one of these
for Christmas, don't you? March

A final set of proposed merchandise images have
been uploaded to the Cyberdrome Store, including
three new coffee mugs and one new mouse pad. We now
have four different product series with T-shirts,
coffee mugs, and mouse pads available in each
series. This now
completes the design phase for our store and the
images shown should represent all of the
merchandise that will be available for purchase
when the store opens. We are setting up our store
through Cafepress.com and as soon as we get the
images uploaded and the details worked out for each
item, the Cyberdrome Store will open for business.
Please stay tuned. February

28, 2005 Site
Update:
All of the original Cyberdrome game-related info
was moved from the Rhea-fx.com site and placed in a
new Games directory here. This includes both the
original Atari-based game (which is now shareware
and available for download) and the newer
Intel-based 3D Simulator. Although neither product
is currently being worked on by the Rhea Brothers,
readers of the Cyberdrome stories might like to
know where it all began. Also, after the Cyberdrome
movie is made, we will probably be asked to make a
game based on it, so everything will finally come
full circle. :) January
