![]() Joseph Rhea |
The Rhea Brothers (pronounced "Ray") actually invented the word "Cyberdrome" in 1985, bringing together cyber (referring to man-machine interface) and drome (meaning field or arena). They trademarked the name and used it for a 3D multiplayer computer game they created in the late 80's. Since then, their Cyberdrome-related projects have expanded to include a 3D artificial life simulator, the beginnings of an illustrated ebook and digital comics, and finally, a full-length novel. Future plans include a sequel to their book, a new online computer game (MMOG), and even a movie script, all based on Cyberdrome. Joseph Rhea (top) is a research scientist working in Washington, DC. His preoccupations include writing, game design, and raising his two young children. David Rhea (bottom) is a mechanical special effects artist working in Southern California. His preoccupations include game design, computer art, and 3D computer modeling. In addition to the Cyberdrome.org website, the Rhea Brothers also designed a website for Admixtures Inc. of Irwindale, California.
