Dear Mary, yours of Dec. 10th came
to hand last Wednesday & was
recd with the greatest of pleasure. There
is nothing cheers me so much in my
abscence from home as good cheerful
letters from you When I know
that you are well & feeling well
it is all right with me though it is
raining & dreary to night yet I feel well
because my health is good This is the
first dreary night we have had for
nearly a month. The weather
having been as nice as we generally
have in Indiana through the
months of September & October
Except that the nights are colder
the days have been just like our Indian
summers Before you get this you
will learn of our moving about 25
miles further South right on the
