The weather here is warm
& pleasant. We had one cold
snap with a little snow
but it only lasted a few
days. The health of our
Regiment has been rather
poor for some time, but
is improving some.
I have recovered my usual
health & feel as stout & hearty
as I could wish.
We saw the artillery drill
this morning. They have six
horses to their cannon
& they run them around on
a full gallop when they are
on drill. It is a nice sight
to see them drill. I have not
had a letter from you for
more than a week but I
heard from you this morning
by a letter to T.? Johnson
from his wife. I was
