Camp Nevin Ky.

Dec 10th, 1861

Dear Wife, as we are about

to move from this place I take

this opportunity of writing to you.

We have marching orders for

tomorrow morning the 11th inst.

We will carry three days rations

& I suppose we will go about

20 miles. The whole army from

Louisville to this place is on

a move & will be concentrated

somewhere on Green River.

The artillery for our Brigade

came here yesterday & will go

with us tomorrow. I rather

think that the calculation is to

attach Buckner at Bowling

Green before many days.

I hope we will. I would

like to see the old traitor

cleaned out. turn over.
