We are an Old-style* Siamese cattery located outside of Los Angeles, California. We work closely with Sandypoints Cattery-- a cattery in Pennsylvania that has been raising CFA and (more recently) TICA-registered Old-Style Siamese kittens for over 25 years. We have been working for over three years to "save" the old Green Lane Siamese line and prevent that old lineage from going extinct by locating and preserving the best of this old lineage. Our kitten clients tell us that they have had difficulty locating Old-Style kittens with authentic Siamese pedigrees. This unfortunate situation is due to the fact that the Old-Style is on the verge of extinction since it lost favor in the show rings of the major cat fancies.

Archenland Cattery is a proud member of PREOSSIA, (Prestwick-Beresford Old-Style Siamese Breed Preservation Society) the club that first named and defined the Old-Style Siamese and that is still the only club in North America exclusively devoted to preserving Old-Style Siamese.
Our immediate breeding goal is saving the old lineages and keeping them healthy. Sadly, many of the old Siamese genes and lineages have been lost and can never be recovered. Our kittens are registered with TICA (The International Cat Association) and CFF (Cat Fanciers' Federation). They have pedigrees dating back to the introduction of Siamese to the United States (and beyond that, to the United Kingdom).
Recently, The International Cat Association (TICA) began allowing us to show old-style Siamese under the name "Thai." You can find more about the Thai breed standard at:

These are two terms that people often use, but we prefer to call them "Old-Style Siamese" and "TICA Thai."
