THORNFIELD'S EMMA SUE AM/CAN CD AM TD CAN TDX CGC

Emma, or 'Scooby' as she's also known as, was bred by Margaret Hall of Canada.

Being the daughter of such outstanding parents as CH AFC Jon-Lee's Spring Valley Atari WCX and FTCH CH Hardscrabble's Blac Glory CD, it's easy to see were Emma gets all her exuberance and courage for her work. What I'm not sure of is, just where she gets her hilarious sense of humor!

Emma has been my easiest dog to train. It is her QUEST to work. She completed her AKC CD in 3 consecutive shows and her CKC CD in one weekend, placing 2nd and 3rd in Novice B trials with high scores of 197 1/2. Emma has the potential to be an amazing OTCH dog, however she has occasional ouchy feet so we don't let her do repetitive jumping. As with all our dogs, her health comes before any title she could ever earn. Anyone who has ever met Emma knows what she is capable of.
Emma's tracking ability is beyond reproach, earning her CKC TD after just a summer of practice, she went on to earn her AKC TD the following fall. After driving 6 hours to a strange town, a romp in a park to stretch our legs, and with a belly full of kibble, Emma was out like a light on the motel bed when I found out that there was a mix-up with her certification papers. Emma had to be recertified immediately! With the sun fading fast, a certification track was laid and aged. Emma rose to the occasion, did a beautiful track for the certification, impressing the judges with her speed, accuracy, and her special way of indicating articles by laying down on them. The next morning, Emma earned her AKC TD easily. We laugh about that story now but, when it was happening...Yikes! The following weekend she passed another CKC TD trial just for the thrill of it. A few months before she turned 5, she earned her CKC TDX, by doing a fantastic job on a track even the judge thought a dog would have difficulty passing. Emma had done a remarkable job and when presenting the ribbon, the judge told her she deserved a TDX PLUS !

That day....if a dog could be giddy....Emma was!
