While Alan Gutchess acts as host and coordinator of the event, many other people make a huge contribution to its continued success. Dr. R.S. Stephenson and Scott Meachum act as advisors assisting in finding new potential speakers and topics. Others who have made up the official and unofficial staff behind the scenes have included Janice Gutchess, Tim Tressel, Don Rettig, Mary Ellen Flynn, George Effinger, Mary and Darrell Brandenburg, Amanda Jemmott, Jackie Gilbert, Fred Lucas, Carolyn Raine, Lydia Gerbig, Kelly Taylor and Linda Plock. An informal Native advisory panel has also assisted in giving both a historical and contemporary Indian perspective to the conference. Past and present Native advisors have included Donald Secondine, Jamie Pennisi, David Rickard, Mike Galban, Roger Moore, Brad Bonaparte, and the late Nanepashemet.
