The "missing mass" is still missing. Evolutionists use the Hubbell Space Telescope and every other device to find the "missing mass." It is common knowledge among astronomers that 90% of the mass needed to hold galaxies together by gravity -- is nowhere to be found. Of course, if the Biblical chronology of creation about 6000 years ago is correct, there is no problem, the galactic distances are so vast, the galaxies have not had time enough to fly apart. But, if the evolutionist time frame of 15 billion years or so is correct, these galaxies should not exist. Evolutionists have had to invent "dark matter," which cannot be detected by any means available, to try to explain how the galaxies hold together over billions of years.
There is another problem with the spiral arms of these galaxies. The laws of physics (Keplerian motion) require that the inner stars orbit much more quickly than the outer stars, just as Mercury orbits the Sun much faster than Pluto. But this should have torn the spiral arms apart long ago -- unless of course -- the universe is just 6000 years old, as a straight reading of the Bible indicates, in which case, the shape of the spiral arms is what we might expect.
