20 TASS SNOOPY PATCH
Introduced in 1968, this patch was approved for wear on flight suits and fatigues.  The design may have been authorized by Charles Schultz.
20 TASS PRAIRIE FIRE PATCH
TIGERHOUND COVEY FAC PATCH
I created the patch in the Spring of 1968 at Pleiku.  The design represents the wily Tigerhound in his tiger-striped camouflage, flying alone, unarmed and unafraid, and not very far above the ground, with the superimposed image of a black Cessna O-2A exemplifying the squadron's routine night operations.  The Snoopy image was pirated, with my present regrets and apologies to the late Charles Shultz, from a Peanuts comic strip in the Pacific Stars and Stripes newspaper, and the O-2 outline was taken from the Dash 1.  The patches were ordered by one of the Coveys on R&R in Hong Kong.

" The well-known unit patch, Jiminy Cricket  with a walkie-talkie and an umbrella, was sold to the squadron by Disney for $1, after being requested by Nail John Taylor."
