Ugly Sausage Bread

1 lb pizza dough (the grocery store stuff works fine)

2 links hot sausage

1/4 cup grated romanno cheese

4 oz pesto (click here for pesto recipe)

Put the dough into an oiled bowl, let it rise until it is doubled.

Peel off the sausage casing, cook the meat. Cover the dough with the sausage, cheese, and pesto. Knead it all together. It will be really messy looking.

Shape into three French bread shapes, put in a French bread pan if you have one, if not on a cookie sheet. Let rise until doubled, then bake at 450 for 15 to 20 minutes, until done. Smother with melted butter, but into slices and serve.
