Opening Night

 

A most interesting rose, this starts off (see picture below this box) as a tight budded deep red flower.  As it opens it gets lighter and lighter in color, ending up a bright red almost a hint of orange color in the bush.
All three pictures on this page were taken from the same plant at the same time.  The flowers open fast, it produces single flowers on medium stems, virtually no thorns, and a classic rose fragrance.  There is a bit of white spotting on the outside petals, but once they open you can't see it anymore, or you can just pull that first layer off.
