A most beautiful rose, the Medallion is a fast grower. The bush forms elegant flowers of peach, yellow and cream with huge petals that take their time opening one at a time from a tight centered bud. It keeps opening until the flower is fully opened.
The flowers have a light sweet smell, hard to describe, but it is slightly fruity.
The growth on this plant is amazing, it went into the ground as a bare root about 6" tall in April, by the end of may it was two feet tall. In June it was three feet tall, and by September it was six and a half feet tall. It grows to be 31" wide, but keep an eye on the stems which have a habit of growing horizontally at times. Some will be so tall you will have to stake them to keep them from falling over. It's a steady producer all summer long.
