Grand Finale

When the decision was made to add a second white rose to the garden there was much thought to adding another Fountain Square, which is truly beautiful, or going for one of the other whites available. We choose the Grand Finale (and later added a John F Kennedy) and the decision was a good one.

Grand Finale starts out as white cream buds, with a bit of red striping running along the middle of the petals. As they open into beautiful flowers, the red color disappears. The flowers have a creamy white color, with very little scent.

The plant is a good grower, resistant to black spot, and only moderately attracted the aphids. It grows to be 41 inches tall and 18 inches wide. It stopped producing flowers the second week of July, giving nothing until the second week of September.
