French Perfume

French Perfume grows a very unique shaped bud, looking like a set of pinwheels or weather instruments on top of the strong stems.

Each bud, like the one pictured here, has a center of yellow/peach, with four symmetrical folds of pink petals.

The flower opens into a yellow flower, with a very pleasant scent.

The plant grows well, forming lots of new growth and suckers quickly, so keep on top of things if you are growing this one. The aphids loved the buds as they were just forming on the new stems, again, treat this plant very early. It produced pickable flowers for three or four days every three weeks. Not a stellar producer it's first year, but it was steady and on a schedule.

Blackspot was never a real problem with French Perfume, it was there, but it also responded very well to treatment and did not return again.

Picked as buds, the flower will continue to open once it is brought inside. The plant grew to 41"tall and 18" wide.
