Baked Ham:
When Ham comes on sale (Easter, New Years, etc) this is a simple way to make a meal.
Remove the external fat from the ham, discard the fat.
Cut the top, bottom, and skin off one pineapple, Cut the rest into pieces, put into a blender with the sugar and puree together. Add a dozen or so cloves. Marinate the ham overnight in the puree, turning every now and then. Unless you enjoy the taste of metal, don't use a metal dish to marinate it in.
Remove the top, bottom, and skin from the other pineapple, slice and remove the core.
Remove the ham and stud with another dozen or so cloves. Put the ham and puree in a baking pan and cook according to the directions on the pan. Baste every half hour or so with the puree from the bottom of the pan, turn over half way through cooking. About 30 minutes before it is done cover with the pineapple rings.
Remove and let sit for 20 minutes before serving. Drain all the puree and juices into a saucepan and simmer until reduced to a thin glaze. Slice the ham (thick slices) and serve with the baked pineapple rings and the hot glaze.
