Baked Brie in Pastry Shells

Follow the package directions to thaw the pastry dough. Unfold.

Cut into squares about 2" on each side (if you have the standard three fold pastry cut it into thirds, then cut each of the strips into thirds). An alternative - if you have any of the dumpling cutters you can use them or even a glass or can as a cutter to make round ones.

Remove the wrapper and white layer from the brie. Cut the brie into pieces about 1 inch long by 1/2 inch wide. You will get the right size after you make a couple. Place the brie on one side of a pastry square, then dip a finger in water and put a strip of water along two sides of the pastry. Fold one cornet across to the opposite side to make a triangle, the water will act as pastry glue. Crimp the edges with a fork.

Either use right away, or you can freeze them for use later. Bake at 400 degrees about 20 minutes, until golden brown. Serve hot.
