(Period 1944-1945) NOTE: this kit is supplied to each soldier in jungle areas, it is carried hooked into the eyelets of either the Pistol Belt or the Cartridge Belt . The 2nd pattern kit replaced the first model (M-1) which was not found to be very practical and far from easily accessible ! The std. version is made of olive drab canvas, and the flap closes by means of 2 press studs .
