THE WELSH CHORAL SOCIETY OF COLORADO

CWS Choir

This SATB* choir consists of volunteer singers who are of Welsh ancestry, are married to someone of Welsh ancestry, or who just love Welsh music and culture. We sing Welsh hymns, anthems, and folk songs in Welsh (phonetically) and English, and have sung in many venues - the Society's Christmas teas, St. David's Day celebrations, Celtic festivals, memorial services for deceased members, special programs at the Denver Museum of Natural History, the Denver World Trade Center, a "cemetery crawl" ** at a Welsh cemetery in Russell Gulch, the Tommyknocker celebration and the St. James Church Homecoming in Central City, to mention a few.

*   Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass (4 part harmony)
** So, just what the heck is a 'cemetery crawl'?

Rehearsals are held several times before each performance.
Under the direction or Ms. Liana Lansing, with accompanist, Nancy Getzinger,
we meet at Christ Congregational Church, 2500 South Sheridan in Denver.
There is a social time (te bach) following rehearsal.

People interested in singing or in scheduling a performance should contact our Choir Manager
Richard DeTar via e-mail ... (just click on his name).
