Yours truly; TA125; Road Atlanta; November, 1982
TA125's lie in the lineage of Yamaha's highly successful 2-stroke street and race bikes of the 1960's and 1970's. The air-cooled, two-cylinder TA125 was a racing version of a street-legal RD125; it is junior cousin to RD250, RD350, and their racing versions. Descendants of the line include TZ250 and RZ350; branches include some truly scary 500cc and 750cc racers.
In these photos, I am rounding Turn 7 -- tightest turn on the track -- at Road Atlanta, at the WERA national finals in 1982. The track is wet and I am scared witless.
