Color Examples

In HTML, colors are described by 6-digit numbers, like "#FFC090". Consider this as three separate two-digit hexadecimal (base 16) numbers: FF-C0-90. The first pair of numbers describes intensity of red light; the second pair describes green light; the third pair, blue light. Intensity numbers range from 00 (none) to FF (full). 000000 produces black; FFFFFF (full intensity of all colors) produces white. In each pair, the left-hand number (e.g. "C" in "C0") has greater effect than the right-hand number; for example, F0 looks very similar to FF.
