2005 Update
It's been a while since I updated my site, and many of the projects you saw on other pages have been completed. Others have been started and some have actually been done from start to finish! (Yes, I really do finish things once in a while!) Take a look at some recently completed work...
Diane & Scott's Wedding Quilt
After several false starts on the quilting, I picked it all out and loaded it onto my brand new Gammill longarm system. This was the first "real" quilt I quilted on it. The quilting design is from a pantograph by Linda V Taylor called "Feather Meander."
54-40 or Fight Sampler
The blocks turned out well, I loved all the colors, but it was a little scary when they were laid side-by-side. I added ivory alternate blocks and set it all on point, then added a border of on-point 4-patches. The binding completes the scrappy look -- it is made from various lengths of the pieces left from all those 4-patches. After a trip through the washer and dryer, it has that wonderful puckery look that I love. Miss Isabella likes it too!
Dear Jane - Civil War
The top was finished in just 60 days. I'm still waiting to quilt it.
Flight of Fancy
Based on Darlene Christopherson's "A Perfect Union," this quilt was made using leftover fabric from several other projects. The swags in the borders are from the lining of a jacket, the cornerstones are from my daughter Stephanie's 7th birthday quilt. I love working with batiks--they are great for needleturn applique. Best Bed Quilt in Village Quilters' 2004 show. Machine pieced and needleturn applique by hand. Machine quilted by Janine Burke.
Floral Fantasy
Patricia Campbell's "Jacobean Rhapsodies" was the inspiration for this quilt, which won Best Lap Quilt and Best of Show honors in Village Quilters' 2004 show. Needleturn hand applique. Machine quilted by Janine Burke.
Bright and Happy
Sampler blocks made in my "Basic Quiltmaking Techniques" class. Machine pieced, machine quilted on the Gammill Classic Plus.
No I'm Not Swedish...
...I Just Like Blue and Yellow
Blue and yellow sampler blocks from Basic Quiltmaking Techniques class. The top was pieced for a long time, and displayed at the shop where I teach. I took it home summer 2004 and quilted it. It's now back at the shop, luring new quilters into our wonderful quilty world!

While it's fun to have a website, it takes a lot of time to maintain it. Click on the link below to see photos and very brief descriptions of my latest quilts.
