Psa 23:1  A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psa 23:3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psa 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psa 23:5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psa 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

The world of medical science is now studying what we have known for years, prayer works. They
may try and write it off as the power of positive thinking or the mind repairing the body, but if there
minds are truly open they will easily see the power of God at work.

We are told in both the New and Old testaments to pray, dance, and sing praises to the Lord. To
pray without ceasing, But God is more than a figurehead to be honored and obeyed. He is our
ultimate parent and our best friend. Formal prayer and praise in church and other gatherings are
good, but silent personal conversation with the Lord in all things you do will give you comfort and
         guidance all day.

Acts 6:4 (KJV)  But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Phil 4:6 (KJV)  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

James 5:15 (KJV)  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

1 Pet 4:7 (KJV)  But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Some people joke that God always answers prayers but sometimes the answer is no.  God does answer
prayers, But he knows what is truly in our best interest, we are sometimes blinded by the ways of the
world, or our own biases. God knows what is in our hearts and minds, he also knows what the result of
our request will be and if it is not good for us in the long run, than he will try to guide us in the proper
direction if we listen to him and heed what he says. Sometimes prayer is just being silent so that the Lord
can talk to us, remember prayer is talking to God. When you talk with a friend you would let them get
some words in, God would like the same consideration.
