This indicates to me that more commitment is required of us under the New Testament than under the Old Testament. Under the tablets of Moses our behavior was dictated by the written law.  Under the New Testament our obedience should be deeper than outward behavior, it should come from the inner most part of
our heart and fill every fiber of our being.
 
 

Mark 10:19  Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
