University Political Science Club and as Woman of the Year by the Triangle
Plumbers Club.

of Calumet City and East St. Louis, Illinois, with a resolution and
proclamation, respectively, for outstanding service to community
and the State of Illinois.
- Received the Best Freshman Voting Record Award- Independent Voters of Illinois/Independent Precinct Organization.
- Received the LEAD award-Chicago Teachers Union.
- Named a Bowhay Institute for Legislative Leadership Development (BILLD) Fellow.
- Received the Spirit of Unity Award-ILBC.
- Received the Arturo Alfonso Schomburg Profiles in Courage Award..
- Received awards from the Greater Chicago Committee Board of Directors; the University Professionals of Illinois; the Black Star Mentors Program; and the Robert A. Lawrence Math and Science Elementary School.
