In 10th grade, I participated in the 2001 Science Fair. My project was entitled "Conquering the Heart Using Nonlinear Dynamics". I modeled cardiac activity using a mathematical model so it may be possible to predict normal and abnormal heart activity and hopefully restore normal activity to an abnormal heart. I won Best of Show at the New Castle County Science Expo. I submitted this project to the Davidson Intstitute for Talent Development for their Davidson Fellows Award. I was named a Davidson Fellow Laureate and won $50,000 scholarship. Below is a picture of me winning a trophy for Best of Show. Below that is a picture of me next to my project and awards.
