In 7th grade, I participated in the 1999 Delaware Secondary Mathematics League Invitaional Meet representing the eighth grade team. The top 5 students from each of the top schools in the state participated. 7 challenging math problems worth different numbers of points were given. Two students had a perfect score, and I was one of them. There was a tie-breaker between me and the other student, and I won it. This was my third time in a row winning first place at the Invitational Math Meet. I won in 1997, 1998, and 1999. Below is a picture of me with a trophy for first place in the state and a medal for getting a perfect score.
