When I was in 5th grade, I participated in the 1997 Delaware Elementary Mathematics League Invitational Meet. The top schools on each grade level were invited to participate. The top 5 students from each of those schools participated in the Invitational Meet. 9 challenging math problems worth different numbers of points were given. I got all the problems correct and won first place in Delaware (there was a 7-way tie). Here is a picture of me winning first place.
