Using FreeHex for the hexadecimal editing:

Open FreeHex and click on "File | Open"
Navigate to the XPCOM.dll file
Click on "Edit | Find"
Type in "Mozilla"
Put a tick beside "Match Case"
Click "OK"
See this Screen Shot
This will take you to the first instance of "Mozilla"
(There will only be two instances)

Now click on "Edit | Replace"
Under "Find What" Mozilla will be listed
Ensure that "Match Case" is checked
Under "Replace With" change the name
Ensure that the name of the new folder contains seven (7) characters,
which is the same number of characters contained in "Mozilla"
      Click the "Replace" button
See this Screen Shot

Click on "Find Next", and repeat until you have found all instances of Mozilla.
As stated above, there should only be two.

When you have finished, click on "File | Save" and close FreeHex, or
whatever hexidecimal editor you are using.

Now open Windows Explorer and navigate to your Profile Folder. Your
Profiles folders should now list separate folders for Mozilla and Netscape.
As you can see, I named my Mozilla 1.5b folder Mozfold and the
Netscape folder remains Mozilla.
See this Screen Shot

Each Folder will contain its own plugin.dat and registry.dat file.
