Questions?
What's the cost? Hiring a personal chef is more affordable than you think. It is difficult to give an exact figure here, because the cost depends largely on the menu you choose. However, from our experiences, your meals cost about 20% less than comparable meals from a quality restaurant. Do I need to sign a contract? Unlike other home meal replacement services that require you to get a certain amount of meals for a certain period of time, we do not ask our clients to sign a contract. Let's face it, you don't always know how many meals you are going to need each week. We just ask you to contact your chef a few days in advance to work out the details. However, our weekly service customers are entitled to a 30% rate discount. Who does the shopping? It is totally up to you. You can contact the chef in advance, obtain the list of the required ingredients and buy them yourself. Or you can leave the shopping to us. You will be charged for the time your chef spends on shopping. However, because your chef generally shops for groceries in the outer boroughs like Queens and Brooklyn, the food cost can sometimes be as low as 60% of that in Manhattan. Could I request a dish that is not in the "Sample Menu"? YES! The sample menu only contains some of the favorite dishes from our clients. Your menu is created just for you. With the diverse culinary background of your chef, you can be sure there won't be many dishes that your chef cannot do for you. Custom Menu Planning is also available for vegetarians and people with special dietary needs.
