ON-CAMERA
CLASS
"It
is vital for an actor to understand the difference between stage
and camera work especially in the audition process!" CA
In this
class we tape our students, play them back on television and
critique their performance. It
is important for the actor to see how they present themselves on
screen. Actors must
also understand the major differences between stage and film work,
and the art of acting and the audition process.
Only after mastering on-camera and scene/monologue work can
actors appreciate how both forms integrate.
Students work alone, in pairs and in groups doing scenes
and mimicking real auditions preparing them to land those jobs!
The many things studied in this class include cold
readings, commercial work, improvisation, auditioning techniques,
script analyses and slating.
We also teach the complete business application including
headshots, resumes, portfolios, agents, casting directors, unions,
the audition process, principles, featured extras, and extras.
3
hours a day-once a week-for 3 months.
