THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
"THE BUSINESS"

  1. Class size-Have you ever sat in the audience all class long watching, or doing just one reading or scene because there are so many students in the class? Remember you're paying to work in front of the camera or on stage-that's the only way you truly learn. Classes at Charles' acting school average 6 to 8 actors with a max of 12-working constantly!

  2. Do they promise to get you work, an agent, or tell you they are an agent and if you pay them so much money they will also train you and get you headshots etc. DON'T BELIEVE IT! Charles' acting school ALSO TEACHES YOU THE BUSINESS- how to find your own agent for a minimal registration fee of usually $15.00-and a hundred other things you need to know! He cautions, "This is a tough business, no one is going to hand you work. After you acquire the proper skills its up to you to land those jobs."

  3. Do you need to spend years in class and thousands of dollars before you join the work force, or actually pay to be in productions? NO! Or can you actually learn anything in a 2 day workshop? NO! In a total of six months for both Charles' on-camera and Scene /Monologue classes you can have the skills to join the work force. This does not mean you should stop studying- Charles warns, "even seasoned pros continue to hone their skills.

After being involved in several schools I was ready to give up. Then I found Charles' acting school. It made all the difference. He worked with me until I finally found my acting voice and confidence. So much so that after six months with him I moved to LA and I'M WORKING!! - Janette Sullivan
