The eight child of Francis Marion Deeds and Mary Jane Hayward was Pearl Jane. She was born on April 25, 1885 in Sullivan County, Missouri and died January 17, 1972 in Wheeling Missouri.

While very young she was married to Charles Dunlap, but the marriage ended in divorce.

On April 1, 1916 at the Pollock Church of Christ, she married Leonard (Lennie) Miller and they were a happy devoted couple until his death from a heart attack on January 12, 1959.

Lennie and Pearl are both buried in the Deeds Cemetery, Sullivan County, Missouri.
