Charles Joseph Deeds

Charles Joseph Deeds or C.J. as he was affectionately called was born on August 17, 1873 and died December 27, 1957. He was married to Alice Starns on January 1, 1894. Alice was born April 26, 1879 and died March 25, 1908. They were the parents of five children: John Marion, Luisa Jane, Maude, Bermal, and Winnie.

The first child of Charles and Alice was John Marion. He was born near Newtown, Missouri on June 10, 1896 and died in Denver on November 24, 1973. He is buried in Glen Cemetery near Genoa, Colorado. He married Alma McDowell on June 27, 1918. They were the parents of eleven children: Alice Belle, Emma June, Winnie, Joseph, Violet, Robert Charles, Cliff James, Mary Madeline, Johnny Ray, Beverly, and Donnie Duane.

Charles and Alice's second child Luisa Jane was born April 5, 1900 in Jackson Township, Sullivan County, Missouri. She married Peoble N. Jaques December 29, 1918. Peoble was born October 12, 1897 in Newtown, Missouri. They were the parents of ten children: Williford, Georgia, Dorothy, Wilburn, Merrell, Derrell, Charles, Darrold, Lorrain, and Dale.
