Bertha Deeds

The seventh child of Francis Marion Deeds and Mary Jane Hayward was Bertha. She was born on September 30, 1982 and died February 1, 1931. On November 17, 1901 she was married to George R. Miller. They were the parents of three children: Noble Vernon, Adrian Newbert, and Colleen Naomi.

Noble was a farmer and served in the U.S. Army four years during World War II in the South Pacific area. His rank was Staff Seargant. He is buried in Newtown Cemetery.

Adrian also served in the U.S. Army three years and participated in "D day", the Normandy Campaign. His rank was Corporal.

Colleen was married April 22, 1933 to Forrest Davis. They are the parents of two daughters: Patricia Lee and Bonnie Jean.
