Hill Valley, California

THE “Woman of the Year” awards was one of Hill Valley’s most prestigious awards of the year. Every year, the Woman’s Auxiliary picks out which female would be deserving of such an award through activity, inspiration, charity, and outstanding achievement. This year it was Lorraine McFly who won the award. An awards banquet was arranged that evening and the family was invited. Marty was permitted to bring Jennifer with him to this function. However, on this day, there was going to be a change in plans.

Jennifer just got out of the shower and went to the mirror over her dresser. She was using her hair dryer when a sinister figure in a ski mask and black jump suit snuck up from behind her. In fright, Jennifer turned around to confront her potential assailant. She began to ask “What do you want?” when the figure put it’s hand over her mouth. With the other hand the figure removed the towel that was wrapped around Jennifer’s body. Jennifer struggled to cover her modesty but was held back by her assailant who dragged her to her bed. The assailant pushed her onto the bed pinning her back to it. Using it’s own body to keep Jennifer pinned down, the assailant had a free hand and used it to reach into it’s pocket, pulled out a cloth and put in it’s victim’s mouth. The cloth contained chloroform and within seconds Jennifer was unconscience.

The assailant backed away once the girl was unconscience and looked at it’s victim. “Perfect.” said a voice. It was a woman’s voice and when the assailant removed it’s mask it was revealed that it wasn’t a man but a woman who attacked Jennifer. Looking into the mirror it showed that woman’s face bore the resemblance of Jennifer. “Perfect.” she repeated. Her voice was that of Jennifer’s.

After bounding and gagging Jennifer and putting her in her closet, the impostor changed out of her jumpsuit and put on the dress that Jennifer was to wear to the banquet. There was a knock at the bedroom door. Jennifer was coming too. She couldn’t talk because of the ducktape but the impostor heard the muffled noise and whispered “Not a single sound.” When the door opened, Jennifer’s mother was there. “Jennifer.” she said, “Marty’s here.” “Good.” said the impostor, “Uh-tell him I’ll be right out.” Closing the bedroom door, the impostor went over to her jumpsuit and extracted a gun and put it into Jennifer’s purse. Then, picking up the coat that Jennifer was supposed to wear and the purse, the impostor left.

Marty stood outside his truck looking at his watch. Then, the front door opened and out came Jennifer. Looking at Jennifer, he said “Hey Jen, you look great.” “Why thank you,. Marty.” said Jennifer as they both kissed. Then, Marty smell something strange. It was coming from Jennifer Geez, he said to himself did she take a shower today? He was going to ask Jennifer himself but decided that discretion is the better part of valor. After helping her in on the passenger side, he went over to the driver’s side and got in. Then, after turning the ignition on, he pulled out and drove down the street.

The imposter saw her chance. Pulling out her gun, she pointed it at Marty. “Okay, Marty.” she said, “Take me to Doctor Brown’s house.” Marty stared the impostor in horror. “Jennifer.” he exclaimed, “What the hell are you doing?” “Just drive.” she demanded. Marty did.

Doc and Clara were also getting ready to go as they too were invited to the awards banquet. “Now boys,” said Doc, “The TV dinner is on the counter. All you have to do is microwave it.” “And boys.” said Clara, “You’ve got a full weekend of homework. No video games while we’re out.” Then, there was a knock at the door. Doc and Clara looked at each other quizzically. “Who could it be?” they asked each other. Doc went to the window and looked out. It was Marty and Jennifer. “That’s odd.” said Doc, “They’re supposed to go straight to the banquet. Not come over here.” He went to the door to open it. As he did, he asked “Marty. I thought you and Jennifer...” He was interrupted by Jennifer who demanded “Doctor Brown, I want your time machine.” Doc stood there for a few seconds agape. Then, he asked “Jennifer, what’s the meaning of this?” “The time machine, Doctor Brown.” repeated Jennifer as she produced a gun and pointed to at Marty’s head, “Don’t make me ask again.” “Great Scott.” exclaimed Doc, “Jennifer, not again.” “Move!” insisted Jennifer. Doc gave ground and let the two in.

All this time, Clara was standing there. She was watching the drama unfold before her. “Jennifer.” she asked, “What’s happened to you?” Jennifer turned to see Clara. Then, she turned back Doc saying “Your wife, I presumed.” Doc was baffled at what she said, so was Marty. “Too bad, Doctor Brown.” said Jennifer, “Too, too bad.” She turned to point her gun at Clara saying “Take me to your time machine or I’ll kill her.” Clara looked at the gun in horror. “Marty.” insisted Doc, “I suggest we do what she...” “No talking!” said Jennifer, “Move.” The three were herded into the lab with the gun trained at Clara’s head.

In there, Jennifer saw the three time machines. “Very dressy.” she said, “A DeLorean, a train, and a limousine. How interesting.” The three were looking at each other. What has gotten into Jennifer? they asked themselves, And why is she acting like she doesn’t know Jennifer and why she doesn’t realize that there were three time machines in existence? Jennifer looked at the three time machines and chose the DeLorean. “I think I’d like this one.” she said. Turning to Doc she said “Load the fusion generator.” Knowing that Clara’s life was more important than preventing Jennifer from using the time machine, Doc complied.

After the job was finished, Jennifer said to Doc and Marty “Open the trunk and get in.” Marty approached Jennifer saying, “Now wait a minute, Jen.” Immediately, Jennifer pulled the gun away from Clara and pointed it at Doc saying, “Do it!” Marty complied. Jennifer pointed the gun back at Clara’s head as an indication that Doc accompany Marty. Doc produced the keys to the DeLorean and opened the trunk. “Get in!” demanded Jennifer. Doc and Marty did. “Now give me the keys.” said Jennifer, “No tricks.” Doc tossed out the keys. Releasing Clara but still pointing a gun at her, Jennifer, now with a free hand, knelt down to pick up the keys keeping an eye on Doc and Marty at all times. Once she did, she closed the trunk door and pointed a gun at Clara asking her “How do I get it out of here?” Clara hesistated. Then, Jennifer pointed the gun at the trunk repeating the question. “How?” she asked. Then, she noticed the buttons on the dashboard. One of them reading “ROOF”. She got in and pushed the button. A noise was heard overhead. Jennifer stepped out and looked up. The roof was opening up. “So that’s how.” she said. “Jennifer.” asked Clara, “What’s happened to you? I’ve never seen you act this vicious before.” “Shut up!” said Jennifer. She got in and closed the door. Clara watched as the DeLorean lifted off the ground and through the ceiling. Then, it left in a brilliant flash of light leaving behind a pair of fire trails.

In the trunk of the DeLorean, Marty asked Doc “Doc. What’s happened to Jennifer?” “I don’t know.” said Doc, “She’s cracked up before when she first learn about the very existance of time travel but it never caused to act vicious.” “That’s for sure, Doc.” said Marty, “But she also acted like she didn’t know Clara, the fact that you made a time machine out of a DeLorean and that we use three different time machines.” They felt the DeLorean land and heard an opening of a car door. “Sounds like we’re here.” said Doc. “But where?” asked Marty. “The appropriate question is when?” said Doc. Doc noticed the air in the trunk getting stale, so he said “We’d better stop talking. We’ve need to conserve air.” Marty nodded affirmitavely. Then, the door opened again and they felt the car lift off and fly. Then, once again sounds of sonic booms were heard. Then, another descent was felt. Finally, it landed and the car door opened. Footsteps were heard. “Marty.” whispered Doc, “I think Jennifer is going to let us out.” Doc was right. They could hear the trunk door unlock. “Okay, Marty.” said Doc, “Once the door opens, we rush and jump her.” Marty nodded affirmatively. The door opened. Immediately, the two jumped her. Marty wrestled the gun away from her. As he did, he felt a gun behind his back. Doc too had a gun behind his back and someone saying “Let her go!” Doc and Marty looked around. What they saw shocked them. Jennifer’s father, Mr. Parker was holding a gun and so was Marty’s sister Linda. Not realizing that Jennifer had broken free of their grasp, Marty asked Doc “Doc, what the hell’s going on here? Not only Jennifer’s acting crazy but so is her old man. And what the hell is Linda doing getting involved in this?” “I don’t know, Marty.” said Doc, “But I’m begining to formulate a hypothesis.” Then, they heard Mr. Parker ask his daughter “Jennifer, what’s this your wearing? What happened to your jumpsuit?” “Apparently, him and my look-alike were on their way to some formal dinner.” said Jennifer. Meanwhile, Linda asked Marty “What’s the occasion, Marty? Why are you all dolled up?” Marty, noticing the suit he was wearing told her “Linda, you know why. We’re supposed to go to that awards banquet for mom.” “For mom?” exclaimed Linda, “Marty, mom’s in jail.” “What?” exclaimed Marty. “Oh yeah.” said Linda, “You’re that Marty from the other reality.” .” Marty was startled. “How did you know that?” he asked, “And what do you mean ‘the other reality?’” Marty felt a tap on the shoulder. It was Doc. “Marty.” he said, “You’d better look around.” Marty did. The two captives had found themselves admist the ruins of something. But what? “Where the hell are we?” asked Marty, “I mean when?” Jennifer, upon overhearing this. Picked up a newspaper and showed it to Marty. “Here.” she said, “Read it.” Marty did. It read:

Saturday, Sept. 19, 1987

“That’s today’s date.” he said, “But where?” Looking at the header, it read:

HILL VALLEY TELEGRAPH

“Great Scott.” exclaimed Doc, “We’re still in Hill Valley? But where?” “I haven’t seen these ruins before.” said Marty. Jennifer picked up a sign from the rubble and showed it to Marty. It read:

HILL VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

Hill Valley High School” asked Marty, “But it can’t be. The only time it was destroyed...” “Marty.” interrupted Doc, “You’d better look at the headline.” Marty did. It read:

LORRAINE TANNEN TO BE SENTENCED

Looking at the picture, it showed his mom with the familiar boob job from the Biff altered 1985. “Doc.” said Marty, “Do you know what this means?” “Yes Marty, I do.” said Doc, “It was the hypothesis I was formulating all along: The Jennifer that abducted us is not our Jennifer but a Jennifer from a different reality. And that the reality that she has come from is the Biff altered reality.” Marty began to suck it in. They were back in the reality in which George McFly was murdered, in which Doc was committed, and in which Marty’s mother was married to Biff and now has been convicted of murder.
