ANGERED over what Buford Tannen had done, Marty got off his horse and charged him. "You son of a bitch!" he said as he laid a roundhouse punch in the jaw. Tannen staggered. Then, Marty laid out another punch in the stomache. The two wrestled to the ground. And then, Marty got the upper hand. Seeing a pile of manure, he shoved Tannen into it. Getting to his feet, Marty went over to pick up the gun that Jennifer dropped when she was shot. Returning to the pile, Marty aimed the gun at Tannen who was sitting up in the manure. "Go ahead, runt." said Buford, "Kill me!" "With pleasure." said Marty. Then, he was jumped from behind. It was the Doc. "Doc." said Marty, "Jennifer's been shot." Doc turned to see Jennifer lying on the ground beginning to turn pail. "Great Scott!" said Doc, "We've got to get her back to the future. Judging by her pallor, the medical facilities here in 1885 are too primative to handle a case like this." Then, the sheriff and his men arrived at the scene. Doc and Marty overheard Tannen's men saying "Do you know what I think? I think Buford Tannen's going back to jail." Then, Marty turned to Doc asking "Back to the future? How? The DeLorean is under guard." "Relax Marty." said Doc, "My past self sent me a letter via Western Union informing me what was happening." "You're past self?" asked Marty. "Yes Marty." said Doc, "Me and Clara arrived here in the train after receiving the message. Com'on, Marty. Help me get Jennifer into the train." "Right with you, Doc." said Marty. Just then, the sheriff stepped between the two and Jennifer. "I'm sorry." he said, "She's going back to the hospital." "Of course." said Doc, "We'll take her there." "Sorry, Emmett." said the sheriff, "She's a government curiousity. With her coming here in a strange ship and things..." "Just let them do it, son." said a voice. Doc and Marty turned to see Mark Twain there. "I could vouch for them." he went onto say. "Of course, Mr. Clemens." said the sheriff. Doc and Marty went over to fetch Jennifer.

As Twain and his two friends helped the girl away from the scene, the sheriff turned to his men and said "Get Tannen out of that shit!" They did. "Buford Tannen." said the sheriff, "You're under arrest for escaping Solidad Prison, the murder of Marshall Strickland and the kidnapping and attempted murder of an unknown girl. What do you have to say?" Tannen spat out manure from his mouth saying "I hate manure." At that, the sheriff ordered his men to take Tannen away.

Doc, Marty and Twain carried Jennifer to another opening where Doc cried out "Clara!" An open door appeared out of thin air and there was Clara. "Jennifer!" she exclaimed. "She's been shot." said Doc, "You and Marty get her back to the future for medical attention." "Doc." said Marty, "What do you mean 'Clara and me'?" "I'm staying here." said Doc producing his remote control, "Me and Twain are going back into town to get the DeLorean." "Whoa, Doc. Now wait a minute." said Marty, "Your other self's in town." "No he's not." said a voice, "Or should I said, no I'm not." Marty peared in. It was the Doc that was resident in 1885. "Get in Marty." said the Doc that came from 1986, "My other self will accompany you back to the future and stay with you until I return from the past." Marty looked at the two Docs saying "You're both docs, Docs." After Jennifer was secured, Doc and Marty strapped down as Clara set the time circuits for May 31, 1986 6:30 p.m. and the destination location for Hill Valley, California. Then, the train lifted off and sped up to 88 miles per hour and back into the future.

The train appeared over Doc's house after it omitted two sonic booms. After the roof opened and the train settled in, Jennifer was carried off the train by Doc and Clara who said "Marty, go in the bathroom and change your clothes. I've got to call the hospital and Jennifer's parents." "Right Clara." said Marty. Looking at Jennifer, he said "Jennifer." "Marty." said Doc, "Just do what your told and stop worrying about Jennifer." Marty complied.
After changing his clothes, Marty got into the car with Doc and Clara. Marty sat in front with Doc while Clara was in back trying to put guaze on Jennifer's back to stop the bleeding. The arrived at the emergeny door of the hospital. After getting out, Jennifer was put on a stretcher and wheeled into the emergency room. As the three looked on a voice was heard. "My baby." it cried out. It was Jennifer's mom. She was accompanied by her husband and Marty's parents. Mrs. Parker was heading to the emergency room when Marty stopped her. "There's nothing you could do now, Mrs Parker." he said, "It's in the hands of the doctors now." Jennifer's mom was about to cry and threw herself into the arms of her husband who comforted her. Then, Lorraine spoke up. "Marty." she said, "What happened?" "Jennifer got shot." explained Marty. "Shot how?" asked George. Marty looked at Doc who waved his hand at Marty as if to say "Don't tell them about time traveling." So Marty said "We were at the lake and this robber jumped out of nowhere and shot her in the back." "Oh dear." said Lorraine, "Who was it, did they catch the person who did this." "I didn't get a good look." said Marty, "It happened so fast." "We better get the police." said Mr. Parker, "Anyone who shoots our daughter should pay for what he did." "I don't think so." said Marty, "Like I said, it happened so fast that I didn't even get a glimpse of the asshole who did this to Jennifer." "There's nothing we could do now." said Doc, "Just hope and pray for Jennifer now." The others could not disagree. It was going to be a long wait now.

Hours passed since Jennifer was rolled into the operation room. At one point, Marty fell asleep. Then, Doc got up to go outside. Out there, he saw his other self, returning from the past. "I've got the DeLorean." he whispered. "How?" asked Doc. "You'll find out eventually." said the future Doc. "Okay." said Doc. "I'll take you back to 1885 right now. Then return here to take your place." said the his future self. "Agreed." said Doc. As they were heading out to the DeLorean, Doc asked his future self "When was the Lone Pine Mall renamed the Peabody Mall?" His future self stopped for a minute before saying "Since me and Marty went back to 1955 and ran over Old Man Peabody's lone remaining tree." "I don't remember that part." said Doc. "That's because you haven't done it yet." said his future self. Doc paused, before saying "Oh." After that, they left the property and got into the DeLorean to return to 1885.

Marty was awaken by Doc who said "Marty. I'm back!" Marty looked at Doc and said "Where did you...Oh, you're the current Doc." "Precisely." said Doc, "Any word on Jennifer." "No word yet, Doc." said Marty, "She's been in there a long time." Then, turning to Doc, he asked "Did you get the DeLorean back?" "Yes I did." said Doc. "Doc." said Marty, "The DeLorean was under heavy guard. How did you manage to get it out?" "Do you remember when we ran into Old Man Peabody in 1955 as the DeLorean was about to appear?" asked Doc. "Yes I do." said Marty. "You used the remote to make the car invisible." "Precisely." said Doc, "And I pulled the same trick on the guards making it look like it disappeared. Right now, they're scouring the countryside looking for it." "And Jennifer." asked Marty, "How did you explain her disappearance?" "Did you ever see the movie 'ET'?" asked Doc. "Yeah." said Marty, "What about it?" "I had Twain convince everyone that Jennifer was really a small strange alien in the guise of a human female." said Doc, "And that the DeLorean that she came in was a shuttlecraft from the 'mother ship'. You should've seen how Twain mimicked that alien from that movie. He gives a good imitation." Then, the surgeon came out of the operating room. Up to this moment, not only Marty have been sleeping but his parents, Jennifer's parents, and Clara have been asleep. The Parkers were to first to awake. "Jennifer." asked the parents. The doctor paused. Then, he said "She's lucky this time. The bullet missed all her vital organs, barely. We were able to remove the bullet and she's going to live." "But, there's something else." said Mr. Parker. "Yes." said the doctor, "It seems that she also received a bump in the back of her head. There's a 50-50 chance that her memory might be impaired." "You mean," said Mrs. Parker, "she might not be able to recognize us?" "It's too early to tell." said the doctor, "She's being wheeled out of surgery now and has been taken to her room." "How soon can we see her?" asked Mr. Parker. "Perhaps tomorrow." said the doctor, "Why don't you all go home now." The Parkers agreed. Meanwhile, Marty woke up his parents saying "Jennifer's going to be fine." Lorraine felt relief for Marty and Jennifer's family. Then, the Parkers said "We're ready to go home now." "First I'll drive you two to our place." said Clara, "Jennifer left your car there before Marty picked her up." "My truck's there too." said Marty, "You'd better take me too." "Marty." said Lorraine, "You mean after Jennifer was shot, you put her in the truck and drove to Doctor Brown's house?" "I had to, mom." said Marty, "I forgot to bring my cell phone with me." "I see." said Lorraine. After that, Marty followed Doc, Clara and Jennifer's parents out to the car.

Mark Twain held a press conference concerning the alien that he and Doc had encountered. "This alien said that she didn't mean any harm." he said, "She said she and her people are explorers from a distant galaxy." "How did she get a hold of the mother ship?" asked one of the reporters. "All she said was...", the Twain cleared his throat and said in strange voice, "'Phone home.'" Twain turned to Doc who winked back at him. Twain smiled at this.

Marty returned the hospital the next day. On his way there, he bought some flowers. When he arrived, Jennifer's parents were there already. He also saw that Jennifer was awake. One look at him, she said "Marty!" "Jennifer." said Marty, "I've got something for you." He showed her the bouquet of flowers. "Oh Marty." she said, "It's beautiful." They hugged and kiss. After that, Marty turned to Jennifer's parents. Mrs. Parker said "After the doctor told us about the bump in the back of her head and the possibility of a memory loss, I was afraid that Jennifer wouldn't recognize us." She did lose her memory, Mrs. Parker. said Marty to himself, In 1885. "Well, let's see if how good her memory is." said Marty. "It's really 100 percent now." said Jennifer, "I'm Martin Seamus McFly. I'm the youngest of three children. My father is George, my mother is Lorraine, my brother is Dave and my sister is Linda. I head a band called the Pinheads." "I'm glad to hear that, Marty." said Marty. Then he put his arms around Jennifer's mother saying "Me and Jennifer were really worried about you." "Hey get your hands off my wife." said Mr. Parker. Jennifer watched this and laughed. Then, the Parkers left the two alone. "Marty." said Jennifer, "The doctor told me that I'll be released from the hospital tomorrow and that I might be back to school Wednesday." "That's great, Jen." said Marty, "That's three days before graduation." "And your birthday." said Jennifer. "That too." said Marty, "Hey Jen, why did you go time traveling again? Didn't you remember what happened last time you used the time machine?" Then, Marty paused for a minute. "I'm sorry." he said, "I shouldn't said 'remember'." "That's alright." said Jennifer, "And you'll find out why I did it soon." "I hope so." said Marty. He began to have a worry look on his face. Was Jennifer beginning to become obsessed with time travelling again?

Jennifer had her arm in a sling on her first day back at school. But, when she arrived, the hall in which her locker was was dark. She was about to report this to the office when the lights went on. "Surprise, Jennifer" said a loud noise, "Welcome back." Jennifer turned around. The hallway was full of students and teachers. Among them was Marty. On the wall was a banner reading
WELCOME HOME
JENNIFER
Jennifer had a tear in her eye which streamed down her cheaks. Then, the crowd surrounded and embraced her. "We missed you said." said some of them. "Thank you." said Jennifer to as many as she could return the compliment. Then, she turned to Marty who embraced and kissed her. The student body applauded. The weekend of hell was over for her.

Jennifer finally told Marty why she went used the time machine last week. Then, she gave him his birthday present saying "Happy birthday, Marty." Marty opened it. Looking at it, Marty said "It looks futuristic." "It's a gag gift from the future." said Jennifer, "It was Doctor Brown's idea." "That's great, Jen." said Marty. Looking at his watch, Marty said "We'd better go." Turning to his family, he said "We've gotta go." "Okay, Marty." said Lorraine, "We'll be there at the ceremony." After that, they left.

The commencement ceremony went smoothly. In the crowd with Marty and Jennifer's parents as well as the the parents and friends of the other graduates. Also there were Doc and Clara. Then, the diplomas were given out. Names were called out. Then, when it got to Jennifer, there was a big applause causing Doc and Clara to kiss.

After Doc and Clara exchanged vows. The preacher said "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." The two kiss and the congregation applauded. Among them were Mark Twain and H.G. Wells. Twain noticed Wells writing down things. "You mean you've been spending this whole time writing?" he asked. "It helps me pass the time." said Wells. Twain grabbed the notepad from him and said "This is supposed to be the most happiest time in any human being's life..." Looking at what Wells was writing, he exclaimed "Vicious aliens? Are you mad?" "What was I supposed to write." asked Wells, "That 'cute alien' that you described?" Perturbed, Twain chased Wells out of the church house throwing the notepad at him.
