Hill Valley, California
7:10 p.m.
WITHIN minutes, Doc, Marty and Jennifer found themselves over the Jandick property. "Okay Marty and Jennifer," said Doc, "I'm going land this thing and you two get out to see how much damage you did." Doc stirred the car towards the ground and landed it on the pavement in front of the house. After Doc turned off the cloaking device, Marty and Jennifer got out car and went to the front door. That's when they notice the first hint of what they did. The place looked rundown and when they walked up to the front porch, the steps felt rickety. After ringing the doorbell, Jim Jandick answered it. It wasn't the same Jandick that Jennifer dragged Marty away from before their trip through time, but a more run down, ragged version of him. And he seemed like he's been drinking lately. Marty straightened up and said "Excuse me, Mr. Jandick. But, we're the ones who visited you earlier today." Jandick took a good look at Marty. And then, a good look at Jennifer. Turning back to Marty, he said "Excuse me, young man. But, I've never seen you before in my life." "Wait a minute." said Marty, "Don't you remember me bursting in here to stop you from beating up your wife?" "Wife?" exclaimed Jandick, "I don't have a wife." Marty and Jennifer looked at each other. Then, Jennifer whispered "See what happened, Marty? It's me going back in time and meeting my father before I was born all over again." Ignoring Jennifer, Marty turned to Jandick and said "Jan. She's your wife. You were..." "You've seen her?" exclaimed Jandick. "Of course I did." said Marty, "Today! She was..." Jandick grabbed Marty by the shirt demanding "Where is she?" "Hey calm down." said Marty, "She was here today. You were going to beat her up and I burst in here to stop you." "That's a lie you son of a bitch." said Jandick, "Jan left me three years ago with some punk rocker." Dropping Marty to the ground, Jandick reached from inside the door and pulled out a rifle. "Now you two have three seconds to get off my porch with loverboy's nuts intact." Marty got to his feet as Jandick was pointing below the belt at him with the rifle. Taking Jennifer by the arm, the two scampered back to the DeLorean. After getting in, Doc asked "Well?" "Jan's gone." said Marty, "Ran off with a punk rocker. Jandick's a drunken bum." "Doctor Brown." insisted Jennifer, "You'd better check the time circuits. We might be in the wrong year." Doc did. It read:

"It's reads right." said Doc, "I'm afraid what you two are witnessing is connected to what Marty did in 1978." Then, a sound of a van was motoring down the street and sound of machine gun firing were heard. It was a group of men, shooting at the Jandick household. Doc turned the ignition and drove off. Within minutes, the DeLorean was driving towards Doc's house on Elmdale Dr. And when they arrived, they made another startling discovery. The house was in the condition it was when Doc first bought it for his family-run down. "Doc." said Marty, "What I did in 1978 couldn't have done that much damage." Doc was speechless. Driving up the driveway, Doc got out and went to one of the windows of the lab. The windows themselves were either boarded up or broken. "Einstein." asked Doc crying out into the window as Marty and Jennifer were looking on. Then, Jennifer discovered something in the DeLorean. "Marty." she said showing him a rag. Marty examined it. It read "Biff's Auto Detailing" "Jesus Christ!" exclaimed Marty, "That's Biff's. That could mean..." Then, he saw Jennifer show him something else. A plastic bag read "Blast From the Past." Marty took it from her and examined the contents. The only thing in here was a receipt. Marty picked it out of there and read it. It said "Gray's Sports Almanac" with the price and the date 10-21-2015. "Oh no!" said Marty, "Doc! Doc! Come back here quick!" Doc did. "What is it Marty?" he asked. Marty showed him the grease rag, the plastic bag and the receipt. "Great Scott!" he exclaimed, "Biff." He got in and pulled out of the driveway and drove into town.

Within minutes, they were in the downtown section of the city. What they saw was a nightmare. For some bizaar reason, Hill Valley had reverted back to Hell Valley. The courthouse had once again turned into a twenty-seven story hotel casino called "Biff's Pleasure Paradise". Marty felt a knot in his stomache. "Oh no." he said. Doc and Jennifer heard this. Doc and Marty knew what happened in this terrible reality. Marty's father George McFly was murdered in 1973 and Biff married Marty's mother Lorraine. And what was worse, this was the reality in which Doc was committed in 1983. Not only that, while researching the newspapers, Doc ran across a 1970 article where the family run Jandick Corporation had merged with Biffco comdemning Hill Valley to a worse fate than it had with the Jandick family. They now knew that Marty's interference with the Jim Jandick and Jan Charlow of past had nothing to do with it and it was really the Biff of 1978 apparently going to the future to buy another Almanac and giving it to himself somewhere in his past. "There's just one thing, Doctor Brown." asked Jennifer, "How did the 1978 Biff find out the exact date to buy another Almanac." "By first going to November 12, 1955 where his futureself went and examine the 'Last Time Departed' on the time circuits of the DeLorean." said Doc. "But Doc," asked Marty, "how did he get ahold of this car to do this?" "I don't know." said Doc, "Unless..." He looked down at the steering wheele and noticed the key in the ignition. "Great Scott!" he exclaimed, "The keys! I left the keys in the ignition." "But the car was invisible." said Jennifer. "I must've accidentally hit the button while trying to get out thus making it possible for Biff to see the DeLorean." said Doc. "Then it was my fault." said Marty, "All my interfering with Jim and Jan started the whole ordeal that put us back in this damn place." "Marty." said Doc, "What you did in 1978 is a moot point now. We've got bigger fish to fry now." "So what do we do?" asked Jennifer. "We go back to 1978 and keep Biff from stealing the time machine." said Marty. "We can't." said Doc, "During our first trip here, I went through the old newspaper in the library and came across a 1970 article. It read that the Jandick Corporation became a part of Biffco. If we go back to 1978 now, it'll be the 1978 of this reality in which Biff, not the Jandick family, is in control of Hill Valley." "Dear God." gasped Jennifer. "No." said Doc, "The only way to repair the tangent and return to our own reality is to go back earlier than 1978 to a point in time young Biff got a hold of another Almanac. We must find the specific time and date and circumstances why, when and where the pre-1978 Biff got ahold of that book." There was only one way that they could find that date. The trio looked at the top floor of that hotel Biff owned. Right there was the answer.

Doc handed Marty the sleep inducer just in case and left him and Jennifer off on the rooftop. After using a credit card on the rooftop door to get in, the two found themselves in the hallway leading towards Biff's office. On their way there, they came across Marty's mother, Lorraine. She had the same breast enlargement that she had the first time Marty was in this reality. She also had a gun in her hand. "Mom!" he exclaimed. Lorraine turned to see him. "Marty!" she exclaimed as she embraced her son, "Thank God. But, what are you doing here? Biff's got a bounty out on you." "Mom." asked Marty, "What's with the gun?" He could smell alcohol on her breath. Apparently, she's been drinking. "I'm going to kill that bastard." said Lorraine, "I've had enough of him." Marty knew what "bastard" she was talking about-it was Biff. "Mom." he said, "Give me the gun." "As soon as I finished with Biff." said Lorraine. Marty held out his hand saying "Let me do that, mom." Lorraine hesistated. Then, Marty said "Please." Reluctantly, Lorraine handed the gun to her son. Then, Marty asked "Where's Biff?" "At the spa." said Lorraine. Marty remembered where that was. It had that jacuzzi in which Biff and those two girls were in when they were watching that Clint Eastwood movie A Fistful of Dollars. "Thanks mom." said Marty. After that he and Jennifer went off to the spa.

Biff wasn't in the jacuzzi this time, but he was in another room in the spa getting a rubdown from Helga, the Swedish massage girl. "Hey Helga," purred Biff, "That feels great. Oh wow, you really know how to massage someone." The the rubdown stopped. "Don't stop now, Helga." said Biff. Then, it started again. But this time, it was a rough rubdown. "Hey Helga." said Biff, "Take it easy. Hey. Hey. Hey." "Well, this is the first time I ever done a massage." said a voice. It wasn't Helga. It didn't even have a Swedish accent. Biff turned around to see that someone else had taken Helga's place. "What the hell?" he exclaimed. The woman was a young girl dressed up in what looked like uniforms worn at those burger joints. "Well, lookie what we got here." said Biff. "She's mine." said another voice. Biff turned to see Marty pointing a gun at him. "Well, what do you know." he said, "The prodigal son returns home." "I'm not your son." said Marty, "And we need to talk, Biff." "About what?" asked Biff. "Gray's Sports Almanac." "I told you everything, butthead." said Biff. "Except how you got it back." said Marty. Biff looked at the two. Then, he said "Okay." After that, Biff put on a robe and led Marty and his female companion into the outer office.

Once there, Biff asked Marty "Okay you two, start talking. How did you know that I got that book back?" "First you tell us how you got it back." said Marty, "When and where." "November 17, 1955." said Biff, "That's when it was." "Novemeber 17, 1955?" exclaimed Marty, "That's the date that I went back to the Old...That's five days after the Hill Valley lightening storm." "You know your history. Very good." said Biff, "I'll never forget that day. It was after school. I went straight into town to pick up my car after I was joyriding it five days earlier." "I thought you crashed it into the manure truck again." said Marty. "How did you know that?" asked Biff . "My father told me about it." said Marty. "Your father?" asked Biff. "Before he died." said Marty. "Yeah, sure." said Biff, "There I was minding my own business when I found that same book in my car. It also had a note attached to it. It read 'Hey Biff. Remember me. I'm your distant relative. I've found your book and returned it. This time don't lose it. And do you remember that kid and his crazy wild-eyed scientist that I warned you about the first time? Well, the kid's got a girlfriend and she too is going to ask questions about that book. And if she does..." Biff grabbed Jennifer. Then, he opened one of his drawers and started frantically looking for something. "Hey Biff." said Jennifer, breaking free of him, "Are you looking for this." She was pointing a gun at him. Before entering the spa, she and Marty searched Biff's drawer for the gun that he tried to use on Marty a year ago and took it out. "Thanks for the info, Biff." said Marty, "See you in our reality." After that, they fled the office. Biff called his men and started following them.
