IT took a half an hour on the bike, but Marty got there. When he did, he saw Billsif and his gang digging holes into the entrance of the Delgado mine. Another man was there. He was overseeing Billsif and his gang's problem. They were ready to install the explosives when Marty got off his bike and ran towards them. "Hey Billsif." said Marty, "Listen to me." Billsif and his men turned to Marty. "Well looky what we got here." said Billsif. "Before you start dynamiting, think!" said Marty. "About what?" demanded Billsif. "Who you're working for." said Marty. Billsif looked at the man overseeing the project then turned to Marty saying "If you tell Mr. Hughes what I'm doing..." "Like selling out to a rival." said Marty, "Or are you really?" "What are you talking about?" asked Billsif. Marty pulled out the newspaper and showed it to him. "What the hell?" exclaimed Billsif, "Look how old this thing is." "That's because where I came from this happened a long time ago." said Marty. "Are you saying..." said Billsif, "...that you're from the future?" Then, he looked at the newspaper and exclaimed "And that I'm about to get into trouble for being a Nazi collaborator?" Then the man overseeing the project spoke up. "Billsif." he said, "Don't listen to him. He's got a screw loose." Then, Marty turned to the man saying "You knew all along that there's a time machine in there. That you've got that info from Germany." Billsif and his men jumped up startled. Marty approached the man and reached into his shirt pocket. Out came a big envelope and Marty opened it and took out a piece of paper. Then he showed it to the man saying "Read it." "How did I get ahold of that?" asked the man. "Don't play stupid." said Marty. "It's in German." said the man. "But you can translate, right?" said Marty. Then Billsif approached the two and yanked the paper out of Marty's hand. He looked at it. It was German complete with a swastika. Billsif looked up at the man in anger. "Is this true, Jandick?" he demanded, "Is it?" The man called Jandick said nothing. Then Billsif said "I was wondering why you wanted me to blast through this hill." "Com'on, Tannen." said Jandick, "I payed you more than Mr. Hughes is willing to do. Does it matter what reason why I want you to do that and who I really work for?" "It does to me." said Billsif, "I might be the cruelest, rottenest, meanest son-of-bitch in Hill Valley. But I'm one hundred percent American. And I will never sell out to that brush mustached bastard in Berlin." Billsif got into Jandick's face saying "So take your Deutche Mark and put it where the moon doesn't shine." "That's 'sun' you idiot." said Jandick pushing down Billsif violently, "'Take your Deutche Martk and put it where the sun doesn't shine.' You sound a damn fool when you say it wrong." Then he said "If you don't get back to work, I know someone who will. Schtebin, Telin und Glabin." Suddenly, out of the bushes popped men dressed like storm troopers armed with machine guns. They were trained at Billsif and his gang. "Get back to work." ordered Jandick and his men. Then he motioned another storm trooper to take care of Marty. Then, Billsif spoke up. "We ain't doing any more of your dirty work." he said, "You're gonna have to shoot us." "With pleasure." said Jandick. He turned to his men and ordered them in German, and the men readied themselves to shoot Billsif and his gang. Just then, "FBI." said a voice, "We've got the cementary surrounded." There were G-men all around the parameter. "Freeze." said the man from where the voice came on. The storm troopers refused. "Open fire." said Jandick in German, "Schnell, schnell!" The men complied. It was a like a war zone out there. FBI and Nazi storm troopers where shooting at each other with Marty, Billsif and his gang caught in the crossfire. Then, Marty looked up. A strange object appeared in the sky. It was one of Howard Hughes' airplanes. The Whirlybird. A stepladder rolled down from the plane and hung near Marty. A voice was heard from the plane. It was Hughes'. "Take the ladder, young man." he said. "What about Billsif and his gang?" asked Marty. "Don't worry." said Hughes, "Just take the ladder." Marty complied. Then, he turned to Billsif and his gang approaching the ladder and said "Here, you take it." Billsif, startled, said "Thanks kid." "What are you doing?" asked Hughes from the plane. "I just can't leave them here." said Marty. Then the plane lifted Billsif off the ground and took him to a safer place. Moments later, the Whirlybird returned and lowered the ladder again, and again Marty let someone else onto the ladder to be taken to safety. It kept up until Billsif and his men were all taken to safety. After the last one left Marty had suddenly a long wait. Apparently, the Whirlybird must have ran out of gas and Hughes had to take it back to have it refueled. He'd better hurry up! said Marty to himself as the fighting got closer to him and the mine. Then, he looked up to see something in the sky. It was not the Whirlybird returning. It was the DeLorean. Who the hell's in there? asked Marty, And how did he or she figure out how to fly the damn thing? He got his answer as the car set down and the door opened. It was young Emmett flying the thing. "I seem to be a natural at this." he said, "Get in." Marty complied. The car lifted off the ground with difficulty. "Emmett." said Marty, "You said you seen to be a natural at this." "I am." said Emmett. "Then, how come you're having problems hovering the DeLorean?" asked Marty. "That's because I brought along something that'll help us." said Emmet, "After I snuck off with the jars of poison that night, I went over to Mr. Jones place and snuck off with something from him." "And what is that?" asked Marty

At the mine, Jandick had his hand on the detonator. "Jandick." said the head FBI man, "Surrender at once." "You're wasting your breath." said Jandick, "Soon, the prize in the mine will be the Fuhrer's." "And how are you going to get away with whatever's in there?" asked the FBI man, "The place is surrounded." Then a huge object appeared in the sky. It was a dirigable! "That's how." declared Jandick as he was about to push down the detonator. Just then, another object appeared out of the sky. It was a strange looking car and from it, something smelly poured out onto him. It was manure.

Billsif watched the drama at the mine from a distance. His response to what finally happened was "I like manure." And his gang couldn't disagree.

The dirigable left after the manure was dumped on Jandick. At the same time, Emmett managed to land the DeLorean on the paramiter of the cementary. Next to the car, the Whirlybird landed. Hughes came out to greet the two. "You're an excellent thief, Emmett." complimented Hughes, "Don't make a career out of it." "I don't." said Emmett shaking Mr. Hughes' hand, "This kid just gave me something to shoot for." Then he turned to Marty saying "It's going to take me seventeen years to have you come over to our mansion again to tell me that you're from the future and you'll be there only for the first time." "I know, Emmett" said Marty. "And another 30 years after that to tell you what I accomplished." Emmett went on to say. "It's an honor." said Marty. Then he said "Doc!" Emmett smiled. Meanwhile, Mr. Hughes was checking out the DeLorean. Then, noticed a switch. Marty, upon seeing this, said "Don't touch that!" "Why?" asked Hughes. "It's the switch that activates the hovering device." said Marty. "Hovering..." said Hughes, "I would like to have one of these." "You can't." said Marty, "It'll change history." "I understand." said Hughes, "How about my future?" Marty paused for a minute. Then, he said "Years from now, a former office boy of yours will tell me that one must not find out too much about his or her future. I'm sorry." "Don't be." said Hughes, "The future is whatever you want it to be." "Yeah." said Marty. Then he turned to Emmett and said "One day you'll say that to me. In 1885." "I'll be looking forward to saying that." said Emmett. They both embraced. Meanwhile, Jandick and German storm troopers were rounded up and the dirigable left the area. Hughes approached the head FBI man saying "I'd appreciate it if we kept whatever's in that mine a secret." "Sounds like a good idea." said the FBI man, "As far as the U.S. Government is concerned, there is no such thing as a time machine." Marty, upon hearing this looked at the newspaper from this year. The headline changed. From where it once read BILLSIF TANNEN ARRESTED FOR COLABORATING WITH NAZIS it now read BILLSIF TANNEN EXPOSES NAZI RING. As a result of Marty's action and informing Billsif who he was working with, a ripple effect occured. And now, Billsif was a natural hero. "Great." said Marty, "Just great."

It took all day to get an okay from the President of the United States to seal off the Boot Hill Cementary to the public. An order was given that the cementary would be off limits to all until November 13, 1955. The day that Doc Brown was to blast open the mine shaft and rescue the first DeLorean from it's 70-year tomb. The reason why was for Government eyes only. As night fell, the DeLorean was taken to what was going to be Doc Brown's home in 1985. Marty got out of the car he was riding with Howard Hughes. In the DeLorean, Emmett was setting the time circuits for Marty's return trip to 1985. "There was an extra jar of poison hidden in my desk that Emmett overlooked." explained Mr. Hughes, "I had it loaded into...What do you call that, young man?" "Fusion generator." said Marty. Hughes turned to Emmett saying "Is it all set, Emmett?" "Yes it is." said Emmett. Emmett turned to Marty saying "I read the "Last Time Departed" indicator. So I'm setting it for the same moment you left." He had it set for Novemeber 16, 1985 1:33 pm. The same time he left. Emmett said "It'll be like you never left." "That's great, Emmett." said Marty. Mr. Brown was also there. "Well." he said "This is good-bye. I'm glad that my son is going to have a good friend in the future." "Thank you." said Marty as he and Mr. Brown embraced each other. Then, Marty turned to Mr. Hughes who said "Good luck, young man. It was an honor to see someone from the future. We'll try to keep your whereabouts a secret." "Thanks." said Marty shaking his hand, "And as for my trip here, it's been educational." Then he turned to young Emmett saying "Good luck in school." "Thank you." said Emmett as the two embraced each other, "See you in seventeen year." "And I'll be seeing you in a few minutes." said Marty, "It'll be great to call you 'Doc' again." "Oh Marty." said Hughes, "Don't ever go through time without this." Hughes gave Marty a stick of gum that read BEAMAN'S PEPSIN GUM. "Thanks Mr. Hughes." said Marty again shaking hands with the man. "Thank you." replied Hughes. After that, Marty got into the car and lifted off. With time circuits activated, Marty accelerated it up to 88 miles an hour and vanished in a flash of light.
Doc looked up at the open roof saying "I didn't have it set for one minute into the future." Suddenly, there where three sonic booms followed by a flash of light. And the DeLorean reappeared right where it disappeared. Moments after it was set down in the lab, the roof and ceiling closed and Marty got out of the car. "Wow!" he said. "Welcome home, Marty." said Doc. "Thanks Doc." said Marty, "It's good to be back." The two embraced. "Doc." said Marty, "Billsif. What happened after he exposed Jandick as a Nazi?" "He got promotion in Hughes' company. Then went went to war." said Doc, "And was killed in France. Receive the congressional medal of honor posthumously. His son Biff lived with his grandmother after that." "Well." said Marty, "Some things never change." The doorbell rang. Moments later, Clara emerged. "Marty." said Clara, "Jennifer's at the door." "Jennifer?" exclaimed Marty, "Bring her in." Doc and Marty followed Clara out to the living room. Jennifer was let in. "Jennifer." said Marty, "I thought you were grounded." "I got time off for good behavior." said Jennifer, "I'm available for the Sadie Hawkins' dance." "Oh what a sight for sore eyes." said Marty, "Let me look at you." "Marty." said Jennifer, "I've been only grounded for two days. You acted like you haven't seen me in five days." Marty glanced out at the lab where the DeLorean was then turned to Jennifer saying "Believe me, I haven't." "Is everything alright." asked Jennifer. Marty looked at the now altered 1938 headline on the old paper and said to Jennifer "Ah yeah, everything's great." "Com'on Clara." said Doc, "Let's give them some privacy." Doc and Clara went out into the dining room so Marty and Jennifer could have some privacy
"It's been a hectic day for us, Emmett." said Mr. Brown, "Get some sleep." "Yes sir." said Emmett as he headed to his bedroom. Mr. Brown went into the bathroom and sat on the toilet. In his hand was the empty toilet roll that had the drawing of the flux capacitor. When he was done, he placed the roll in the same spot that Marty had found it. Lodged under the sink. Mr. Brown turned off the light and left.
