JENNIFER looked at the keys for a minute and realized her opportunity. She also noticed the jars of poison and the instructions for loading the fusion generator nearby. And a videotape that read
OCT. 26, 1985 1:20 am.
This and the keys were all she needed if she was to go back into time and visit 1966. All she needed was to give Jules and Verne a bath so she could watch the tape and then get them to bed so she could sneak out with the DeLorean.
Pocketing the keys and taking the tape into the front room and putting down somewhere, she went in to the boys room and said "Alright you two, into the bath."
"Aw!" objected the boys.
"Now!" she ordered.

Doc and Clara were having trouble trying to get out. "We've got to do something." said Doc to Clara, "I left keys out in my lab and the poison jars, instructions, and video as well. If Jennifer gets a hold of them to figure out how to use the time machine, she'll go back in time and possibly cause a paradox."
"Okay Emmtt" said Clara. She turned to the fat woman sitting next to her and said "Excuse us."
"NO." said the fat woman, "Sit down or I'll call the usher."
They turned to go out the other way. The fat man refused to budge.
"How about a knuckle sandwich?" he asked.
Doc and Clara both sat down contiplating the situation.
"Damn!" said Doc, "Trapped like rats! Damn, damn."

Jennifer finally got the boys into the bath and went out to the living room where she loaded the tape into the VCR. She got to the point where Doc was on the screen pointing out the time circuits and the keyboard in the original DeLorean. She followed the instructions to the letter and watched a demonstrations.
"Suppose you want to see the signing of the Declaration of Independance" said Doc on the screen as he was pushing the buttons on the keyboard. The words "JUL 4, 1776" appeard on the "Destination Time" indicator. "Or" said Doc on the screen, "witness the birth of Christ." and he pushed more buttons on the keyboard and the "Destination Time" read "DEC 25, 0000".
Immediately she took notes.
When it was time for the boys to leave the bath she got them to bed. She tried to get them to sleep. It was difficult. She was contemplating finding Doc's sleep inducer and usinig it on them.
Then she spied a book.
It was Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 Days.
"I'm going to read you a story." she said.
"Yea!" said the boys.
She opened page one and read aloud. She read from page to page in hopes they would go to sleep but they still were awake. Then, finally, fatigue overtook her and she fell asleep. Jules and Verne saw this and got out of bed and started stuffing pillows under the covers, Jules dropped one of his shoes and Jennifer was still fast asleep. Then he started shaking her and she was still asleep.
Jules turned to Verne and said "She could sleep through an earthquake."
Verne tried.
"Verne" said Jules, "That's enough!"
Verne refused to listen to his older brother. "Boo!" he said.
"Cut it out, Verne!" said Jules.
Jennifer refused to budge.
Jules finally had to drag him out of the bedroom. They went out to the living room and looked at an open box. It was the tape to the first temporal experiment from two weeks ago.
Verne turned to Jules and asked "You don't think she's trying to go back in time tonight is she?"
"If she is", said Jules, "We're going with her."
They both snuck off to the lab.

Doc and Clara were still having trouble getting out of their seats. They cooked up every excuse they could muster. When it came to wanting to go to the bathroom, it was "cross your legs" or "I hope you mess your pants."
Doc turned to Clara and said "We've got to do something. If we don't get home soon..."
"Emmett", said Clara, "I don't even want to think about it ."
They sat there, unable to do anything until the movie was over.

Jennifer woke from her slumber and saw the beds being slept in. Satisfied, she left the room turning off the lights. In the living room, Jennifer picked up the box where her mother's "mod" outfit was and went into the bathroom to change her clothes.

The movie was finally over and the crowd started moving to the exits.
Doc and Clara was hoping that the two huge people that sandwiched them would move but the fat man said "Will you wait a minute?"
The fat woman said "Will you please go that way."
The two realize that they would have to wait longer, much longer.

Jennifer emerged from the bathroom wearing her mother's "mod" outfit and took the keys from the pocket of the clothes that she was wearing and put it in her purse. Then went out to the lab. Jules and Verne were hiding nearby. They could see Jennifer reading the instructions. Then, as she was loading Mr. Fusion that was on the DeLorean with two drops of poison, the two boys snuck into the car. Unknown to her that the two boys were in the car, she got in and pushed the buttons on the keyboard. She looked at the time circuits and for the first time noticed the "Destination Location". After pushing a few buttons the the indicator said:
AUG 29, 1966 6:00 a.m.
Destination Time
NOV 13, 1985 10:00 p.m.
Present Time
SEPT 2, 6.00 p.m.
Last Time Departed
San Francisco, California
Destination Location
Then she noticed a map of the city appeared on a screen next to the time circuits.
"This is amazing." she said.
She noticed a knob underneath the screen and played with it. A needle surrounded by a circle floated around the map. Jennifer guided this needle until she had it settled on Candlestick Park. She was ready to close the door when she noticed something on the workbench. It was the remote control that Doc used when he demonstrated the time machine on the video tape. Going over to pick it up, she returned to the car and closed the door. Putting the keys into the ignition she looked around.
How does Doc get this thing out of the lab? she asked herself. Then she noticed a button on the dashboard. She pushed it and the roof opened. She pushed it again, it closed. So that's how Doc gets this thing out of here. The next problem is to get it up there.
She remembered the first time in the time machine en route to 2015. Doc was pushing some buttons on the ceiling of the car. She looked up, and there was the same set of buttons like in the original DeLorean. She pushed a few and the car lifted off the ground. Then, she turned a few knobs and the car settled back down.
I've gotta get one of the hover cars for myself she said to herself.
Then she pulled a lever and the time circuits were activated. Pushing the buttons to open the roof she could hear Einstein bark.
Opening the window she said "Relax Einstein, I know how to handle it now. I'll be gone for only a minute."
Closing the window the car lifted off through the open roof. Outside she pushed the accelerator down and sped off until the car hit 88 miles and hour and disappeared into the past in a flash of light.
