Sunday, March 15, 44 B.C.
Rome, Italy
10:09 a.m.
AFTER hearing what had happened in the Senate, Septimus and Flavius immediately hunted down the lone missing conspirator, Emmettus. Then, spotting a white haired man in the back yard of Julius Caesar, they immediately were afraid that Calpurnia might be next. What was worse, Mark Antony, even though the conspirators had agreed to let him speak at the funeral, was there and his life might be in danger as well. Going into the back yard via the side they spotted a strange horseless chariot. They started charging after it when it lifted off the ground. They stood speechless before Septimus cried out "In the name of Julius Caesar, I order you to stop." It went ignored. Then, Septimus ordered, "Flavius, your spear. Throw it." Flavius did. It hit the side of the chariot. Then, the chariot turned around and a window open and a head popped out. It was Emmettus. He was seen sticking out his hand and making a strange gesture. It a hand showing one finger, the middle one. Then, he closed the window and the chariot took off only to explode into a brilliant flash of light. Sticking out were a pair of fire trails. Flavius and Septimus looked at the sky where the strange chariot that Emmettus and Heston had dissappeared in a ball of fire. Fire indicated a path as if had it not for that ball, the strange flying chariot would continue it's way. The two guards looked at each other as Flavius was copying the strange gesture that Emmettus made to the two. "Septimus." he asked "Why did Emmettus make a gesture like this?" "Please, Flavius." said Septimus, "Do not copy that gesture. Something tells me that no on should use such a gesture. It might bring anger from the gods." Then, there were an earth shattering noise like a big boom or explosion knocking the soldiers of their feet. "See what I mean?" asked Septimus. "Yes, I do." said Flavius. At that, they headed into the house.

After the light dissappated, Marty and Calpurnia looked down below. They were back in Rome on the day Julius Caesar was murdered. Looking at the pool in the back yard, the two saw that the DeLorean that was there the first time was gone. Seeing that the side of the house was deserted, Marty landed the car there. "Well." he said, "This is where we say goodbye." "I know." said Calpurnia looking at the will in her hand, "Your job is done. You got me home safely. And now I have the sorry task of delivering this will to Antony and face the fact that my Caesar is gone." "Yeah." said Marty. Calpurnia was ready to open the door when Marty said "Wait a minute." "Why?" asked Calpurnia. But Marty decided to get out and go around. Then he opened the passenger side and helped Calpurnia out of the DeLorean. "Why, thank you." she said. "You're welcome, ma'am." said Marty. "Won't you come in?" asked Calpurnia. "Naw." said Marty, "I've gotta go." "Oh, it won't be any problem." said Calpurnia, "Remember. Your stuff is still here." Marty paused for one minute. Then, he said "Okay." "Good." said Calpurnia. They entered the house by way of Caesar's study. Outside the study, voices could be heard. "It's Flavius and Septimus." said Calpurnia. "Flavius and Septimus." asked Marty. "Yes." said Calpurnia, "They're Praetorian guards. It sounds like they're talking to Mark Antony." "About what?" asked Marty. "They're telling him about Emmettus' escape." said Calpurnia. Marty approached the door to listen him. One of them commented "What I heard was that Emmettus was taken hostage by Charlton Heston in the Senate after Caesar was stabbed. I'd better check on Calpurnia." "That's Mark Antony." said Calpurnia. "Oh shit!" said Marty, "What the hell are we gonna do?" Calpurnia stood there for one minute before saying "Just stand there." Turned to her and asked "And..." Calpurnia picked up her knee and whacked Marty in a very painful part of his body. Marty crouched down in pain. "That's to make it look like he jumped you and escaped." explained Calpurnia. "That'll help." said Marty with his voice three octaves higher, "Where did you learn that kind of a move." "From you." said Calpurnia. "From me?" asked Marty. "Yes." said Calpurnia, "I saw you assault one of the Brutus look a-likes that way." "Brutus loo..." asked Marty before saying to himself Oh shit! 2015! I forgot! That's when I had my encounter with Griff! And she was there. Then, a door opened and a young man of great authority came in. "Calpurnia." he said, "Thank the gods that you're safe. Emmettus was seen in your back yard..." "Mark Antony." said Calpurnia. Mark Antony said Marty to himself, Jesus Christ! That's Mark Antony! "Can you help me help Heston?" Calpurnia went on to say, "I found him in the back writhing in pain." Antony looked at Marty saying "So you're the one that took one of the conspirators hostage. What happened." "He jumped me." said Marty, "Then, he escaped." "And it looks like he knew how to do it." said Antony. Marty, feeling the pain finally subsiding and his voice going back to normal said "Yeah." Then, Calpurnia spoke up. "Here's the will." she said handing it to Antony. Looking at it, he turned to Marty saying "Care to join me, kid?" Marty smiled saying "I wouldn't miss it for the world." Calling in some of the servants, Antony said "Prepare the body to be taken to the market place." The servants complied. Marty went out to the main hall where he ran into McFlius and Lorrainia. Looking at the two, Marty said "I thought I was never going to see you two again. I'm glad I did." McFlius looked at him. "What does that supposed to mean?" he asked. Lorrainia was more concerned about her mistress Calpurnia. "Mistress." she said, "You're acting like it took you two days to find that will and bring it to Mark Antony." Marty cut in saying "Believe me, Lorrainia. It did." Lorrainia gave Marty a peculiar stare. Then, Calpurnia said "You'd better go and attend." Marty agreed and went to the marketplace.

Brutus was the first to speak. Giving the reason why he rose against such a man, he let them know that it wasn't because he loved Caesar less that it was because he loved Rome and it's populace more. The throng of citizens he was speaking too, praised him for his action. Then, he let Mark Antony speak beseeching the crowd to listen to him while he left by himself. On his was out, Brutus turned to Marty saying "Someday I'll get you, knave." "In your dreams, asshole." responed Marty. After that, Brutus left. Then, Marty turned to listen to Antony's speach. It wasn't exactly the way Shakespeare wrote it but it was simular. At one point Antony showed the wounds where Caesar was stabbed, showing each mark that each conspirator made. And then the moment of truth. Mark Antony opened the will and read it. "For every several Romans," he said, "There will be seventy five drachmas." The same number of drachmas that Brutus had to pay for when he had his chariot repaired the previous day. "In addition." said Antony, "Caesar bequeaths to you all his walkways, his private arbors and newly planted orchards on this side of the Tiber. He's leaving it to you and your descendants forever to enjoy." Pointing to the corpse, he said "Such a man was Caesar. Will we ever have another like him." "No! Never." said the citizens. Siezed by the prospect of sharing the wealth of their slain leader, the throng picked up the body and took it to the middle of the marketrplace and burned the body picking up anything combustable to use. As the flames rose higher, more cititzens began to run around the streets, picking up anything that was dangerous. At this point, Marty knew that now they were on the hunt for those conspirators. Then, he saw several houses go up in smoke and people yelling out "Death to Brutus. Death to Cassius. Death to all who murdered Caesar. Burn their homes." Marty could only imagined what would have happened if that will that Antony read was burned along with the Almanac.

It was nightfall when Marty returned to Caesar's house. When he arrived, he saw two men talking to Calpurnia. One of them was very young, about his age. One of them said "Brutus and Cassius had been rid through the gates of Rome like madmen." It was as if the two had some notice of the people. Indeed, Mark Antony had moved the populace.

Cassius peered his head out of the cart saying "Okay, Brutus. The coast is clear." Getting out, he was covered with manure. Reaching in, he pulled out Brutus who said "I hate manure." After that, the two left for Sardis.

Marty started towards the guestroom to pick up the stuff he left behind when he and Doc had to flee 44 B.C. when Calpurnia stopped him. "Heston." she said, "I want you to meet someone." Turning to the two men, Marty met them. "This is Lepidus," said Calpurnia, "and his is my husband's nephew, Octavius Caesar." Marty looked at the young man saying "You're Caesar Augutus." Octavius gave Marty a startled stare before the latter said "I mean, you're gonna be Caesar Augustus-in about thirteen years." "Where do you suppose I'd be named that?" asked Octavius. Marty paused for a minute before saying "I read about you in my history cla...you'll find out." Antony arrived saying "I have stirred the crowd." Octavius and Lepidus turned to Antony saying "Good. Now, for the business at hand. Calpurnia, if you could excuse us." She complied, following Marty to the guestroom where Marty first awaken that morning. Lorrainia and McFlius were there. "Mistress." said Lorrainia, "You remember that soothsayer who told your husband to beware the Ides of March?" "Yes." said Calpurnia, "What about him." "I talked to him today." said Lorrainia, "He told me that that after today, me and McFlius would go our separate ways. But, in two thousand years, our descendant's paths will cross, a union will form, and..." She hesitated until Calpurnia asked "And what, Lorrainia?" Finally, Lorrainia said "...and the one who disrupted your bath yesterday will be conceived." She turned to Marty saying "He was talking about you, Heston." Turning back to Calpurnia, she went on to say "It didn't make any sense, mistress. How could he be so accurate about your husband's murder but so inaccurate about Heston's birth?" Marty stepped in saying "Believe me, Lorrainia. He's accurate." Then, Calpurnia asked "Are all of his belongings dry now?" "It is." said Lorriania. She produced Jennifer's mother's mod outfit. Marty got a good look at it. It was ruined for sure. But, he had to take it back. "I'll take it." he said. McFlius gave Marty his Nike shoes saying "Are you leaving us now?" "Yeah." said Marty, "But it's been educational." "Will we ever see you again?" asked Lorrainia. "Perhaps." said Marty. Calpurnia was ready to dismiss the two when Marty stopped her saying "One more thing. If your descendents paths do cross two thousand years from now, get married, have kids and if one of them say when he's eight years old accidentally sets fire to the living room rug-they're to go easy on him." "Okay, Heston." said McFlius, "I'll pass that word down." "As will I." said Lorraine. "Thanks." said Marty. After that, the two servants left. When they were alone, Calpurnia asked "Marty. Will this Rome be the same Rome in two thousand years?" Marty paused for a minute before saying "I can't answer that." "Will there still be a Republic in your era or will the monarchy return?" "I can't answer that." said Marty, "Doc once told me that no one should find out too much about the future. It could make things worse." Calpurnia was sad faced about this until she said "I understand." After picking up his napsack and putting both his Nike shoes and the outfit in there, Marty said "Listen, I've gotta go." "Marty, wait." said Calpurnia. She removed the translator from her ear and gave it to him. "I won't need this here." she said. Taking from her he said "Thanks." "May the gods go with you and bless your future." said Calpurnia, "Yours and Emmettus." Marty smiled before saying "Thanks again." After that, he turned to go outside and get into the DeLorean that was still invisible. After loading Mr. Fusion, he closed the door, and set the circuits for November 13, 1955 8:30 a.m., switching the "AD-BC" indicator to "AD". After that, Marty lifted the car off the ground and accelerated it up to 88 miles per hour until it broke the time barrier.
