MARTY found himself in the driver's seat of the DeLorean as it headed down to the earth. He tried to slow it down but to no avail. Finally, it crashed. Marty survived but the car was a wreck. Oh shit! said Marty to himself, Doc's gonna kill me. Looking at the time circuits, it read

Then, a voice was heard. "You're late." it said. It was the Doc. Marty turned to see that he was wearing a bloody toga and had a daggar in his hand dripping with blood. "What's the matter with you, Marty?" he asked, "I told you 8:00 a.m. not 10:04 a.m. Now I had to murder Caesar anyway." Unable to bear to look at Doc any longer, Marty looked down at the ground only to see a scroll under the wreckage of the DeLorean. Pulling it out, the scroll was torn in two. "The will." said a woman's voice. It was Calpurnia. Marty looked at it. Then, he was surrounded by Biff look-a-likes, ready to stab him. At that moment, Marty woke up.

Hill Valley, California
6:30 a.m.
The next thing Marty knew, Doc was waking him. "Marty." he said, "Wake up!" Looking around, Marty said "Boy, what a nightmare." "Marty." said Doc, "Go into the bathroom and get ready to go." "Okay, Doc." said Marty as the Doc handed him his servant's tunic. Marty looked back at Doc, he was wearing the same suit he wore yesterday. "Doc." said Marty, "You're not going back to 44 B.C. wearing that?" "I'm going back to 44 B.C. with you and Calpurnia." said Doc, "I have to stay here and return the rental. Besides, I'm a wanted man in Rome now." "You mean a long time ago, Doc." said Marty. "Whatever." said Doc, "Calpurnia's had her bath. I've just showered. Now, it's your turn." "Okay, Doc." said Marty. The curtain that seperated the room opened as Marty crossed over to the bathroom. There was Calpurnia, back in that stole she wore on that fateful day in 44 B.C. before all of this happened. After this, he entered the bathroom.

Getting out of the shower, Marty put on his tunic and looked in the mirror. Picking up the scale he said to himself "Children of Isreal...here's the Ten Commandments. Let my people go. La-di-da" Charlton Heston he wasn't despite using that name.

Doc loaned Calpurnia his overcoat as to hide her stole when she went to the office to check out while Doc and Marty sat in the car waiting for her. While they were waiting Doc told Marty "Listen, Marty. Once you and Calpurnia are in that car, I want you to sleep induce her." "Why Doc?" asked Marty. "Because, I want her convinced that her trip through time was nothing but a dream." said Doc, "If I understood the layout of Caesar's house, the nearest door to the pool was from his study. That's probably where she picked up the will." Turning to Marty, he said "Just carry her back into that study and sit her down at a desk. That way, when she wakes up, she'll think that the whole ordeal was a dream. Make sure the sleep inducer is configured for a few minutes before using it on her. That way, she'll be out for a few minutes long enough for you to get her in there." "Right Doc." agreed Marty. Then, Calpurnia came back and got in. Then, they drove off.

It was still raining when they left Hill Valley for Pine City. By now, the first Doc would have woke up after passing out at the shock of seeing the second Marty saying that he had come back from the future. Arriving at the outskirts of the nearby city, the three could see two people standing around. One of them looked like a sheriff's deputy and the other was a farmer. There was a patrol car and a truck parked nearby. The two men were looking for something. "Great Scott!" said Doc, "Two men at our rendevous spot. If the DeLorean shows up while they're still..." "Yeah." said Marty, "It's gonna be heavy, Doc." Then, Doc and Marty recognized the farmer. It was Old Man Peabody. Pulling up, Doc got out saying "You two stay put. I'll talk to them." After pocketing the remote, he approached the two men and asked "Problem?" The two turned to see Doc. "Well, if it isn't Doctor Brown." said the deputy, "What brings you out here." "Oh just Sunday drive." said Doc, "What are you two out here for." The deputy took the Doc aside saying "Old Man Peabody says he's been seeing UFO's lately." "Oh?" asked Doc. "He said they've been knocking down his pines lately." said the deputy, "I think he's been working too hard. Last night, he had a funeral for the first tree that went down last week. And according to him, either the same one or another one appeared out of nowhere and knocked down the second tree and flew off." "Let me handle this, deputy." said Doc. Turning to Peabody, he said "Mr. Peabody, the deputy said that you claimed that UFO's been knocking down pine trees. Is that true?" Turning to Doc, he said "Of course it's true. They even mutate in human forms." "I think I've seen beings like that lately." said Doc pointing to a spot far away from where the DeLorean was to appear, "They're way-way over there." One final word was "If I were you, I'd go to Rozwell." The two stared at Doc in disbelief when two sonic booms were heard being follow by the DeLorean reappearing. Doc pulled out his remote to slow it down. At the same time, Peabody told the deputy "There it is." The deputy pulled out his gun when Doc pushed a button on his remote and the car disappeared into thin air. The deputy stared in disbelief. "Where did it go?" he asked. Awstruck, Peabody finally said "I need a drink." and got into his truck. "Where did it go?" the deputy repeated. Then, he got into his car and drove off. "Cheerio my dear fellow." said Doc. Pushing the button the car re-materialized and Doc guided it to the rental car close enough for Marty and Calpurnia to get out without getting wet. "Marty." said Doc, "If I recall, the time we left Calpurnia's time was 10:10 a.m. so when you set the circuits for March 15, 44 B.C., make sure it's for the same time." As Marty was doing so, Doc turned to Calpurnia saying "It'll be like you never left." "Thank you, Emmettus." said Calpurnia, "The gods have indeed given you knowledge to travel through time." "Don't mention it." said Doc as they shook hands. Marty got out and helped Calpurnia to the passenger side of the DeLorean. After she got in, Marty went back to the driver's side as Doc once again reloaded Mr. Fusion with manure. Giving Marty some extra manure for the return trip, he said "Marty, when your done dropping her off set the time circuits for 8:30 for the return trip here. By then, I'll be back out here waiting for you." "Right, Doc." said Marty. "Good luck, Marty." said Doc. Then whispering to him, he said "And don't forget to sleep induce her before she goes back to 44 B.C." "Right, Doc." Marty whispered back. "And Marty." whispered Doc, "While she's out, remove that translator from her neck. I don't want that device staying in the past. It might change history." "Doc." whispered Marty, "What about Jennifer's mother's mod outfit and my Nike shoes." "Marty." whispered Doc, "We agreed that when we back to the future, we'll explain everything to Jennifer. Don't worry Marty, I'll try to find a moment in time when all that commotion of that murder settles down so we could make a return trip to retrieve them. Now go." "Right, Doc." said Marty closing the door. After that, the car started up and lifted off the ground.

In the car, Marty had the sleep inducer ready to render Calpurnia unconscience. She was looking out the window when he produced the device Doc brought from the future. He was ready to use it on her when she turned her head but pulled it back when she did turn around. "Heston." she demanded, "Is that not the sleeping device Emmettus used on your other self?" "Yeah." said Marty. Calpurnia looked at Marty who just stared at the device. "Is there something wrong?" asked Calpurnia. "Yeah." said Marty, "I can't do it." "Do what?" asked Calpurnia. "Knock you out." said Marty. "What?" exclaimed Calpurnia. "You heard me." he said, "Doc wanted me to sleep induce you so when I snuck you back into your home back in Ancient Rome, you'd be convinced that your trip through time would be only a dream." He looked up at the time circuits. The destination time and location was set for March 15, 44 B.C. 10:10 a.m. and Rome, Italy respectively. "Damn it." said Marty, "Your husband didn't deserve to die so horribly." Turning to Calpurnia, he said "Look what a kind and considerate man your husband was after I interrupted your bath. Back then, other husbands would have requested that I'd be hung or crucified." With his hands on top of the stirring wheel, Marty put his head on them saying "You were right. We are time travelers and had the opportunity to stop the assassination. But we didn't." "I was upset." explained Calpurnia, "As far as you and Emmettus were concerned, what happened to my husband happened a long time ago. You shouldn't be concerned about that." "I don't care." said Marty. Immediately, he punched the buttons resetting the arrival time from 10:10 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. "What are you doing?" asked Calpurnia. "I'm going back there and stop your husband's murder." said Marty. "No." said Calpurnia, "You musn't." "I must." said Marty, "I'll just show up to the moment before he's stabbed and stop those conspirators, even if it means running over every one of those sons of bitches with DeLorean." "Heston." asked Calpurnia, "Is one of those 'sons of bitches' your friend Emmettus? The one you call 'Doc'?" "No." said Marty, "I don't." "Heston." said Calpurnia, "I know you mean well, but..." "Do you want to go through life being a widow?" interrupted Marty, "Do want to wake up every morning realizing the other side of your bed is empty?" "Do you want to go back to an alternate future?" asked Calpurnia. The same question that Doc asked Marty last night. "Yes, I heard everything last night." said Calpurnia, "Especially, about preventing a certain tragedy that was supposed to happen anyway. By the sound of it, it didn't sound pleasant." The Arizona, said Marty to himself, she heard that. "Please, Heston." insisited Calpurnia, "Just take me back to that moment I left. It's about time I bury my husband." Then, finally she said, putting her hand on his, "Marty!" Marty stared at her for a minute before saying "Anything you say, ma'am." Marty pushed the button on the keypad again. This time it read "10:11 a.m." In a final check, Marty made sure that the "AD-BC" indicator read "BC" before activating the time circuits, and when he did, he put his foot to the accelerator until it reached 88 miles per hour and into the past.

Doc was waiting a long time for the DeLorean to leave. "Damn it, Marty." he said "What in the name of Sir Isaac H. Newton are you doing up there? Marty." Finally, the sound of a car was heard in the sky and a brilliant flash of light was seen followed by a pair of fire trails. Eying the trails, ran go get under them and started that same victory dance he did when he first sent Marty back to the future, raising his hands to the sky and giving a happy yell. Then, he returned to the car and drove off to Pine City.
