THE strange man continued to haggle Marty by saying "Draw!" But Marty said "No thanks." "What art thou?" asked the man, "Art thou a coward?" Marty stopped there in his tracks. Then, he asked "What did you call me?" "Coward, knave." repeated the man. Marty drew his sword saying "Nobody calls me a coward." "Then," said the man, "Come about." At that, the swordfight started. It ended with Marty on the floor. The man had his foil pointed at Marty saying "Now, know thy betters." At that moment, the police came in. "Freeze!" they said. The man turned to them saying "Constable! The director here is using women to do parts." He indicated to a very shaken Jennifer who was in the arms of Clara. The one of the officers looked at Jennifer. Then, at the strange man saying "So! What's wrong with that?" The man looked at the cop unbelieving of what he had heard. "You mean you condone this act?" he asked, "E'en thou thinkest it is alright for a woman to be onstage?" "Of course." said the policeman, "But we don't condone rape or disturbing the peace. Cuff him!" The other officers surrounded the man and had him taken away.

Jules and Verne watched quietly as Shakespeare was being taken away. "Jules." asked Verne, "What are we going to do now?" "What else do we do now?" said Jules, "Tell dad the truth." "Oh boy." said Verne. The prospect of being grounded for what they did was staring them in the face.

Marty took a weeping Jennifer from Clara saying "I'll take it from here." He took her out to her parents in the lobby. Meanwhile, Clara noticed the familiarity in Jennifer's attacker's voice. It was simular to the writing in Jules assignment he did for Miss Othmer. And his speach was the same as the text in the play that they performed tonight. And her two boys were trying to say something and were hesitating before Jules said "Break a leg." earlier in the evening. Could it be that the boys did something that they weren't supposed to do?

Doc and Clara had changed back into their own clothes as well as the rest of the cast. Marty came back saying "Jennifer's folks have taken her home." "Marty." said Clara, "Her own clothes are still in the woman's dressing room. Want us to take them over to their place?" "I'll handle that." said Marty, "Just hand them to me after I change and come out." Marty went into the men's changing room as Clara went to fetch Jennifer's belongings. After he came out, he took the clothes from Clara and went out to the truck and drove off to the Parker residence. Then, Clara turned to her husband saying "We'd better go find the boys." Doc agreed. They went out to the lobby where they found the boys. "Dad." said Jules, "We heard what happened to Jennifer. What are the police going to do with that man?" "Perhaps put him away." said Doc, "He was crazy." "They can't do that." said Jules, "That's William Shakespeare. Me and Verne..." His voice had trailed off. The sudden slip of the tongue had betrayed him and his brother. Their parents were shocked at this. Clara's suspicion was confirmed. Their two boys had gone back in time, and came back with William Shakespeare and had him do Jules' homework. Meanwhile, Doc said "Quick. Let's all get home right now. Boys, you've got some explaining to do." At that, the four went out to the car, got in and drove home.

When they arrived home, Clara first went to the boys' bedroom and turned on their computer. There it was, Jules' homework. The same kind of wording that the strange man who assaulted Jennifer was using. The boys followed her in. Clara turned to her oldest demanding "Jules, are you responsible for that man being here in Hill Valley?" Jules said nothing. Something else caught her eye. It was the sleep inducer. Then, the intercom cracked. It was Doc's voice saying "Clara. I'm in the lab. You'd better see this. And bring the boys." Clara escorted the boys out to the lab.
When they arrived, Doc was in the DeLorean. The time circuits were activated. The security screen was also on too. Doc motioned to Jules demanding "Have you been going someplace in time lately?" Jules stuttered. By now, what he accidentally said at the theatre had now gotten him in more trouble than he wanted. Doc motioned the three into the car. There on the time circuits, it read:
MAY 7, 1597 3:10 p.m.

MAY 8, 1987 10:04 p.m.

"Oh my God." said Clara. Turning to her two boys, she said "You two have been traveling through time." "That's not all." said Doc turning on the VCR, "Look who they brought back." On the screen, she saw Jules and Verne carry the same man who attacked Jennifer out of the DeLorean. "That man who attacked Jennifer tonight is William Shakespeare." Doc went onto say. Clara turned to the boys asking "Now what do you have to say?" "I just needed him to help me with a school project." "The same kind of project that Miss Othmer was showing me today?" asked Clara. "Yes ma'am." said Jules. Doc turned to his son saying "Do you realize that under the circumstances, we cannot explain to her on how you did it without explaining the fact that time travel exists?" "Yes sir, I do." said Jules. "And are you aware that if anyone other than us, Marty and Jennifer finds out they very existance of time travel that the results could be disasterous." said Doc. "Yes sir, we do." said Jules. "My God." said Doc, "Why did you do this, then? We're doing our best to keep time travel a secret. Especially after what happened when Old Biff found out about it, and what happened to Jennifer when she learned about my invention. But explaining to your teacher the way you did your assignment has put us in a position to explain the very existance of time travel." "But we're going to punish you somehow." said Clara. "That's right." said Doc, "And we're giving you two an entire month to think about the terrible results and the awful position that you put us in because that's how long you two are going to be grounded." "Right." said Clara, "No television, no computer games, no going to the park, and no going out to play with your friends after school even if you don't have homework, no going to birthday parties and whenever you use the computer, it's for homework. Understand?" "Yes ma'am." said Jules. Verne nodded somberly. "Now go to your rooms." insisted Clara. When they left, Clara showed Doc the sleep inducer saying "I found this in their rooms." Doc took it from her saying "Great Scott!" "Emmett." said Clara, "About Mr. Shakespeare." "I know." said Doc, "I know." He immediately picked up the phone saying "I've got to call Marty." He started dialing.
After dropping off Jennifer's own clothes at her place, Marty came home. When he came in, Linda was there saying "Marty. I'm not your answering service but Doc Brown just called." "Doc?" asked Marty. "You know." said Dave, "Mr. Montague." "That's 'Old Montague.'" said Marty. He went to his room and called the Doc. To his gratification, he got him. "Marty." said his voice, "How's Jennifer?" "She's relaxing now." said Marty, "The doctor came over to give her something to relax her." "That's good." said Doc's voice, "Listen, Marty. About that man who attacked her." "What about him?" asked Marty. "I can't explain it over the telephone." said Doc's voice, "You'd better come over to my place." Whatever Doc had to say concerning Jennifer's attacker that he couldn't explain on the phone, it had to be so important that he didn't want anyone else to find out. So Marty said "Okay. I'm on my way." Hanging up, Marty got his jacket and headed out to his truck.
When Marty arrived, Doc showed him the the tape of Jules and Verne carrying Jennifer's attacker out of the DeLorean and the setting on the time circuits. "That man was William Shakespeare." said Doc, "Jules had him taken into our own time just to help him with his homework." "Jesus Christ!" exclaimed Marty, "Doc, why was he upset over Jennifer being in the play." "Because," said Doc, "In Shakespeare's time, it was improper for a woman to be onstage. Apparently, he wasn't aware that he was in his future." "Well that explains it." said Marty, "Doc. What do we do?" "We'll have to take him back to his own time." said Doc. "Doc." said Marty, "He's behind bars. It's pretty tough to get him out of there. And we'll be in trouble if we help him with a jailbreak." Doc produced his suitcase full of money saying "We'll bail him out." Marty whistled. Then, he said "You're the doc, Doc." "Okay, Marty." said Doc, "Now first, we'll have to get into some clothing for the period. Then, I'll get my overcoat to wear when I'm in the police station." Turning to the DeLorean he went onto say "The time circuits are loaded, Mr. Fusion is loaded, there's extra manure for our return trip back to the future, and it's nighttime. Let's get changed." "Right, Doc." said Marty. Being handed some Elizabethan clothing, Marty headed into the bathroom to change.
After they both changed clothes, Doc put on the overcoat he bought in 1955 when he, Marty and Calpurnia were there to retrieve the will of Julius Caesar. That way, when he was in the police station, no one would notice what he was wearing. After that, the two got into the DeLorean, opened the lab roof, and lifted off to the police station.
They were only blocks away when Doc decided to land the Delorean. After parking the car, Doc got out saying "Stay here, Marty. I'll go in there to get Mr. Shakespeare out." "Check, Doc." said Marty. After entering the police station, Doc told the desk sergeant "I'm hear to bail out Jennifer's assailant." The sergeant gave Doc a peculiar stare saying "Are you sure, Dr. Brown." "Of course I'm sure." said Doc, "You see, my cousin is suffering a peculiar case of schizophrenia. He thinks he's William Shakespeare." The sergeant paused for a minute before saying "The bail is had been set at quarter of a million dollars." "No problem." said Doc as he produced the money. The man whistled. Then, he called for Shakespeare's release. After Shakespeare collected whatever came with him, the sergeant whispered to Doc "You make sure he doesn't leave town. Okay." "Right." said Doc. Turning to Shakespeare, he said "Okay, Mr. Shakespeare. You're coming with me." Shakespeare looked at Doc saying "Did I not see thee perform tonight?" "Of course you did." said Doc as he escorted him to the car. After Doc knocked on the passenger side, Marty got out. Shakespeare saw him saying "I saw thee too. Thou hast dueled with me tonight." "Yes sir." said Marty. "But when I saw you play Romeo," said Shakespeare, "you handled your lines so well. Unlike young Tannen who hesitates just to put the audience to sleep." "Young Tannen?" asked Marty. "That's Sir Tannen's son." explain Doc. "Sir Tannen?" asked Marty. "Yes." said Doc, "I'll explain it all to you when we return Shakespeare back to his own time." "Right, Doc." said Marty. After getting Shakespeare into the DeLorean, Doc and Marty got in as well.
Once inside, Shakespeare asked "To wherefore are you taking me?" Doc pulled out his sleep inducer saying "Home." At once, he used it on Shakespeare who went to sleep. Setting the destination circuits for one minute earlier, Doc told Marty "That's so we could go back earlier to see from where Jules and Verne took Shakespeare." "I see." said Marty. Activating the cloaking device, Doc lifted the car off the ground saying "'To infinity and beyond.'" "Doc." said Marty, "Isn't that 'To be or not to be'?" "Of course, Marty." said Doc, "I was thinking about 'Toy Story'." "'Toy Story'?" asked Marty. "Find out in about eight years." said Doc. Marty sat back. Now he got it. After that, Doc accelarated the car to 88 miles per hour and the DeLorean disappeared into a brilliant flash of light leaving behind a pair of fire trails.
