This is the personal web page of Charlene, Cal,and Jenny Emerson in Spokane, Washington, USA. I now have separate pages for each of us.
Some pictures so you know who we are:

Quite a change in Jenny in 4 years!
Here's a picture taken in February 2006 of the three of us at a church dinner. (Note: Jenny is standing up and we are sitting down - she's not THAT tall!:

About ME! I was born in Norwalk, Connecticut, lived in Connecticut, England, Washington State, Texas, and Michigan while my father was in the Air Force, then we moved back to Spokane, Washington in 1967. Cal and I got married in 1987. I've had lots of jobs, but none I would call a career. I've been a Directory Assistance operator at the phone company, a clerk-typist, a medical transcriptionist (that was a trip! The office manager there was one of the crankiest people I've ever known.) and I'm currently working as a cashier at Northwest Seed and Pet in Spokane.

Any of my friends know I’m just nuts about Will Millar and the Irish Rovers. Will used to be with the Irish Rovers but left the group several years ago. Now I have two record/CD collections to keep current!
Will Millar has a good web site named
celtic-music.com where you can buy his latest CDS and also check out his paintings. I think he's a very good painter - and judging by how fast the paintings were selling on St. Pat's day 2008, so do a lot of other people! The Irish Rovers are also still performing - check out their site
here:Here’s a picture from 1990. I was getting the Irish Rovers’ autographs and a person ahead of me asked if they could get a picture taken with Will and he said yes, so then I got brave and asked and he said yes, so my husband took this. I was thrilled. Still am.
In 2008 I made a quick trip up to Duncan, BC, for the opening of Will's art exhibit - for details see
my scrapbook page for the 2000's where you can see a couple of photos of Will and his paintings.Several years ago I bought a painting of Will's from a website called
My Art Club - It's called "Otter Crossing at Port Townsend" and it looks great in my living room.
There’s an Irish Rovers fan club site that usually manages to get the concert information up before the official site does. It’s
the Irish Rover's fan site This also has a list of where to find older Irish Rover records.
These pictures of me and Will Millar were taken November 9, 2004, in Trail, BC, after his wonderful concert!
I actually was brave enough to talk with him after the show - only took me 34 years to get up the nerve to do that! At this rate, who knows what might happen in another 20 or 30 years. ;-)
2008 When I went up to Duncan on St. Patrick's Day for the opening of Will's art exhibit, I got to talk with him even more. It was a fast trip, driving up after work then spending the day there and driving back the next day, but it was fun!
I made this from FImo clay - for my blind friend Dan Lander who refers to himself as "the old sheepdog." I gave it to him for Christmas 2004.

I belong to the Spokane Folklore Society. Check out their web site to see what dances and concerts are coming up.
