Reintroducing the V8 3822 Supercharged Magnetic Pickup Tool: We were recently awarded a patent for our "Supercharger" design. We didn't do justice to the versatility of this unique and innovative tool in our original post. Our V8 3822 comes with a powerful small-head (8.5mm) rare earth magnet with a 2.2lbs pull. It has a fully extended copper sidewall to reduce side attraction when going into narrow metal opennings to retrieve parts. You also can put on our patented "Supercharger" and increase the power 50%, allowing the 3822 to pick up 3.3lbs. In addition, the "Supercharger" completely changes the character of the magnetic field; it sharply increases the side attraction which is very useful for "sweeping" a large area for missing small parts, or fishing for something in the dark. 	The Mighty Worm can reach places others cannot! Extremely small magnetic head, barely 5mm in dia. The head is mounted on an extremely flexible 30" copper wire. Extremely powerful. *A note from the designer:* I have tried a number of tubing pliers over the years. None of them has worked well for me. They typically come with a large head to fit both 3/16" and 1/4" tubing. But the handles do not give enough leverage to bend tough 1/4" steel tubing. The 1/4" part is not useful, it just makes the head bulkier. Even bending 3/16" tubing is not very easy. I also want to complain that the bending angle is not sharp enough. In addition, they tend to leave obvious cutting marks at the beginning of a bend. When use them as pliers to hold the tubing, they do not hold firmly. You can slide a tube in the closed jaws of these pliers. I believe V8 has come out with the best 3/16" tubing bending plier on the market. It works well and is reasonably priced.

The V8tool Clinic Using the V8 3001 Hose Cutter
Using the *V8 3001 Hose Cutter* is fast and easy. Getting the perfect cut however, does take some practice. Following these simple tips will hone your skills... Always keep the hose at a right angle to the blade.

The open end of soft hose tends to flex more than the other side of the hose. Consequentially you may have difficulty maintaining a right angle relation between the hose and the blade and you may have an uneven cut. The solution is that you may use your thumb to push down on the other side of the hose in order to maintain the right angle position of the hose. (For your safety, please keep your thumb at least 1-1/2" away from the blade.)
Compress soft hose before cutting to ensure a straight cut.		Please keep your thumb 1-1/2" away from the blade.
